St Lawrence Primary School Balcatta

Our Year 1 students had a wonderful time joining in with National Simultaneous Storytime, celebrating the joy of reading together with children all across Australia. They listened beautifully, shared big smiles, and loved being part of such a special nationwide moment. It was a fantastic way to spark imagination, build community, and remind us all just how magical a good story can be. Thank you to the parents who took the time out of their day to share this moment with the students.

Last Friday, our school community gathered for the official opening of our new landscaped front entrance and "Carmelo's Corner." We welcomed Hon. David Michael MLA, who joined us to formally open the new gardens and we had a beautiful blessing of the space led by Fr Adam. This space will stand as a lasting tribute and a quiet place for reflection within our school grounds.

We thank all staff and other members of our community who attended and helped make the opening event such a memorable and meaningful celebration.

We are excited to celebrate the completion of our new school frontage, a project that marks a fresh and vibrant chapter for our community. This development reflects our ongoing commitment to creating a welcoming, modern, and inspiring environment for students, families, and staff.

We look forward to formally opening the space with students and staff in the up coming weeks on Friday 22nd of May.

Did you know St Lawrence has a lunchtime Art Club? Well… thanks to the amazing, talented and creative year 6 students we most certainly do! These selected students give up their lunchtimes to design and create an art activity which is open to the rest of the school on selected days.

Well done year 6’s and spirit of Jesus!!

Mums and female role models/guardians… you are invited to spend a morning to celebrate you! Please join the P&F along with the staff of St Lawrence to enjoy a bite to eat and cuppa to start the day.

This morning the Year 2’s hosted our Anzac ceremony. Well done Year 2’s even with technical difficulties you kept going and spoke beautifully.

Thank you to Mrs Bozich and Mrs Edward’s for their hard work and dedication to making the ceremony run smoothly. Another big thanks to Mrs Anita Buchanan who played the Last Post for us.
