I'm looking for some local students interested in learning the flute and experiencing the joy of playing music. My goal is to move at the pace of the student while still challenging them with fun and exciting music! If you or someone else you know might be interested please feel free to get in touch. What a great year! After becoming a Montessori teacher last year I have now brought music back into my life and have been running a piano program at my school. 21 students all pre-primary and elementary. They performed on Wednesday afternoon for their parents and were amazing!

Today's practice room 🎼 I love this space so much. Just dreaming of what kind of performance could happen here..

I'm performing this morning with the Unisong at the Royal Flying Doctors morning tea. Feels good to be singing on such a beautiful day! x.

This Sunday I'm playing some Mozart at the Rocky Chamber Music Concert at the Walter Reid Cultural Centre. Starts at 2pm for a gold coin donation x.

Ohhhh I have got some good crazy cat lady news to update you all on! Today at the Kern Arcade Markets our stall was right beside hers and her cats and I decided to busk right there even though I knew it would 'bother' her. As soon as I began playing she started moving her all her things further down the way and asked me *insert American accent* 'Oh can't you move down so I don't have to!' To which I replied, 'No thank you! I'm fine here.' Then she comes back and tells me, 'You should find a better teacher.' Well. I'm shaking at the point. If only she knew. I assured her that I had first-class Honours in classical music and that I didn't care if she had a great Russian violin teacher as a kid. (Look where that got her.) If that's not enough, I told my Mum what had happened and she got her crazy eyes on and stormed down to give the crazy cat lady one last mouth full. Luckily, one man saw it all happen and gave us some comfort by reminding us that we are dog people.

Today I was busking and selling pretty things at the Kern Arcade Markets! Also, business cards arrived this week! Yippeeee x.

Today I went busking at the Kern Arcade Markets. I was feeling very anxious so I chose a spot that was quite open to start off in. Right there was the lady that always has the cats and I asked her if she'd mind if I played music beside her space and if it would bother the cats. In my mind I was just being polite and of course she would be fine with it. Wrong. Her response was, *and insert American accent* 'oh yeah it'd bother them and it would really bother me too!' All I could say was, 'oh right it would bother you...' And walk off.
Still, made more there than I do waitressing. I'll be back crazy cat lady!! x.

This afternoons practice room at the Rockhampton Library on south side. Feels good to play for people who love music. x.

Sunrise is so special 🌞

Back in Rockhampton now! Next Thursday night I'll be performing with a student at Rocky High for her music assessment as well as playing some contemporary solo pieces. I'm very excited!
