For those going through a phase of not knowing how to be vulnerable again for love. 🧡🙏🏼
Serve Love Lyrics
Upon a view at sunrise
What lies ahead for you?
Can there be love this time
Waiting just for you?
I see again hesitation in those eyes
Heels dug into grass brown stained
What must lie on the other side
To defer again to another day?
Courage could not come soon enough
But will it come at all?
You half-heartedly signed up for love
With no stomach for the fall
Fall for love not because you are weak
Fall for love because you are strong
Fall for love not for the favours
Fall for love because you serve love
Love has a lot to give
But the shoe must also fit
Love will refuse to stay
It will indeed pull away
From the foolish takers
The broken deniers
Who sadly turn lovers
Into runners for cover
Courage could not come soon enough
It won’t have to come soon
If you fool heartedly signed up
To play lovers like fools
Fall for love not because you are weak
Fall for love because you are strong
Fall for love not for the favours
Fall for love because we serve love
(Ah ahhhhhhhhhhh)
Serve, serve for love
(Ah ahhhhhhhhhhh)
Fall to serve love
Upon a view to shine (shine)
What be your kind? (the kind)
For the torch bearer (does know)
The light of truth fires up the passion
oooooooh, ahhhhhhh
I see contemplation in your eyes
Beneath stirring feet, you rise
Committed to loving ways
For much better days (better days)
The story goes, you wised up
Bold tales of breaking down walls
That you full heartedly signed up
To take the lead and light the way
(Ah ahhhhhhhhhhh)
Serve, serve for love
(Ah ahhhhhhhhhhh)
Fall to serve love

One of my favourite podcast conversations with my good friend Joe Kosterich on his Dr Joe Unplugged - all about being empowered to create purpose in everything you do, rather than finding it. 👍🏼
Ep 66. George Helou on Finding and Living Your Purpose Dr Joe Unplugged · Episode
Here are ways the body removes toxins, viruses, poisons, bad bacteria, parasites, and harmful debris:
No. 1: Liver Detoxification – The liver processes toxins, breaks them down, and neutralizes harmful substances, converting them into waste products that are eliminated via urine or bile.
No. 2: Kidneys – The kidneys filter out toxins, excess salts, and waste products from the blood, which are then excreted through urine.
Vomiting: A quick way to expel harmful substances from the stomach before they are absorbed.
Fever: Raises body temperature to create an environment less hospitable to pathogens and to accelerate immune responses.
Phlegm/Mucus: Traps pathogens and foreign debris, which are then expelled through coughing, sneezing, or dripping from the nose.
Sweat: Expels small amounts of toxins, including heavy metals, through the skin, especially when combined with fever or exercise.
Pushing through the skin: Foreign materials like metal or glass can be slowly pushed out via the skin over time.
Tears: Flush out irritants and harmful particles from the eyes.
Additional methods:
Bile Secretion – The liver produces bile, which helps to eliminate fat-soluble toxins through the digestive system.
Urine – The kidneys remove waste and toxins that are excreted in the urine.
F***s – The digestive system expels waste products and toxins that are not absorbed into the bloodstream through bowel movements.
Lymphatic System – The lymph system carries waste, toxins, and pathogens from tissues to the lymph nodes, where immune cells neutralize them, and waste is carried away for elimination.
White Blood Cells/Immune Response – White blood cells engulf pathogens and harmful debris through a process called phagocytosis, neutralizing them.
Hair and Nails – Trace amounts of heavy metals and other toxins can be deposited in hair and nails, which are then naturally shed.
Lung Expulsion – Harmful substances, like airborne toxins or pathogens, are expelled through breathing, coughing, and sneezing.
Saliva – Contains enzymes that neutralize harmful bacteria in the mouth, which are swallowed or spit out.
Diarrhea – When the digestive system detects harmful substances, it may rapidly expel them through diarrhea, preventing absorption into the bloodstream.
Do we often view many of the body's actions to purify and heal as the problematic symptoms that need solving?
How often do we go into the why the body is having to detox so rapidly? What is going in, that does not belong there? What foods, polluted air and liquids are doing no favours for the body?
“Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way around or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves. Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.” - Bruce Lee
Humans have a superpower of turning facts into opinions and opinions into facts with one swift dogmatic swing of their cognitive dissonance.
Resisting self-improvement
It seems like a contradictory statement, but it is a persistent reality for all of us, whether we confront it or not remain in denial of it.
Why do we resist self-improvement?
Even if we like learning about improving, the walking the talk part is difficult. It is because the brain is slow to learn and apply and slow to unlearn and re-apply the updated learning. It is slow because it needs to experience repetition of messaging and reinforcement signals in a highly relevant way to its direct benefit.
That benefit needs to be tied into its survival, not just the opportunities to thrive. The brain is in default mode to survival – it’s a primal powerful processing machine for that outcome.
Then when it uses advantage of praise and results to build its identity, the attachment to that value as the identity locks us in. So now we are defending points of view and ideas of how to relate and be, as who we are. “This is me, I can’t change that” “A leopard can’t change its spots” and “I was born this way”
So, when we want to change a point of view, the brain registers an attack on our identity, like if we believe we are wrong, we will be devalued, rejected and abandoned. So it kicks into defend and attack mode against the criticism, seeking only to notice anything that can be used to prove it wrong.
It gets tiring when, what it uses is not logical, and the logical feedback coming back begins to weaken its position. This is the brain at its most vulnerable, and it projects punishment as immanent. It will resort to yelling, getting aggressive and cutting and running from the situation – a primal survival reaction!
Hence resistance to self-improvement is a tricky business. We have a brain to manage, that is a powerhouse when it has good assumptions hardwired to serve in how we interpret things accurately and react to them. But the assumptions that are misguided, they get to wreak havoc and even complicate our relationship with our adaptive nature, our self-worth and personal empowerment.
If you are not appreciating the role your brain plays in resisting self-improvement, you are being blindsided. I have not met anyone ever, that did not have this dimension of challenge as part of being a work in progress.
What other challenges have you experienced in you or others resisting meaningful change?
F R I E N D S - The Ebb and Flow Does Not Have to Be Personal
Friendship dynamics are ever-changing. They shift as our priorities evolve—sometimes towards survival and overcoming hardships, other times towards seizing wonderful opportunities.
When people adjust their level of engagement with you, it's due to a multitude of variables, and it's rarely personal. There are too many influencing factors for it to be solely about you.
So, if you feel disappointed that some people are not reciprocating your efforts, it's perfectly fine. Allow yourself to move on to other priorities, while leaving the door open for when both of you are aligned to engage again.
Friendships thrive when they are not forced. You can address disappointments, but how you are treated on the priority spectrum following that effort should clearly signal where your priorities should lie.
D I D 🔍 Y O U 🔎 K N O W ?
We are all on the dumb (and smart) spectrum?
How amazing you will become when you are not concerned how amazing you need to be.
How quickly your reality will change when you just let yourself be the precious artwork in progress, we all are.
Those that take offence to you caring about how you feel should never have been given a licence to influence how you feel.
Caring about your emotions is the only way to honour being human for you and others.
Seeking help from those with lived experience is your clever way of being resourceful and effective.
The process of understanding your environment and yourself well guarantees a rewarding life sooner than later.
Rejection is a traction mechanism, it feeds you the information you need to pivot accordingly to continue making progress via solutions and breakthroughs. We are always learning how to manage our perception and reality has a way of exposing our perception distortions in a very consistent and impactful way. :) Our job is to know it is never really personal. It's just a system to survive and thrive.
