On August 10, the annual Pullum Pulmenti Moot 2023 has seen ECU SBL Law students practice courtroom advocacy in a safe, supportive, and fun environment.
In what our learned judges described as a fun night filled with high caliber performances, the outcome is the following:
Special Mention was given to Chloe McMillan, Danica Terris, Lachlan Poor.

The Legal Forecast (TLF) is set to host their annual Disrupting Law Hackathon from Friday evening 11 August to Sunday evening 13 August 2023 at UWA Law School.
This event is open to all WA universities and we are hoping students from each university will attend. It is a unique all weekend legal hackathon for university students and young professionals organised by TLF and our partners.

Eager to learn practical skills of interviewing clients, develop your communication and critical thinking skills and increase self-confidence, all while being in a relaxed and supportive learning environment?
The Client Interview Workshop and Competition were developed in collaboration with The College of Law Australia, the School of Business and Law and the Edith Cowan Student Law Society.
This Workshop and Competition are open to all ECU law students who have completed Torts 1.
Prior to the Competition, the Workshop will be provided to participants, to teach the basics of the client interview process.
The Competition will be followed by a fantastic networking opportunity and some delicious food.

New to mooting? Come and learn how!
Open to all ECU law students, designed in collaboration with the Leo Cussen Centre for Law, the School of Business and Law , and the Edith Cowan Student Law Society.
WHAT IS MOOTING?
A simulated court of appeal. Mooting is the best way for a law student to experience a courtroom setting and develop advocacy skills.
The workshop will introduce you to the requirements of this Moot and teach you the basics of successful mooting. This Workshop and Moot are open to all law students who would like to learn the basics of mooting, develop their presentation and advocacy skills and increase self-confidence, all while being in a relaxed and supportive learning environment.
The Moot will be followed by a fantastic networking opportunity and some delicious food.
