We’re excited to be launching Term 2 of To The Beat 🎨🧘‍♂️

A mindfulness-based creative program for teens, designed to support young people to slow down, tune in, and express themselves through art, movement, and creative exploration.

Across the term, we explore simple mindfulness principles in a relaxed, hands-on way, helping participants build awareness, confidence, and tools they can carry into everyday life. There’s no pressure and no experience needed, just space to show up and create in your own way.

✨ Free program (funded by Shire of Mundaring)
✨ Ages 11–17
✨ Perth Hills

We can’t wait to begin another term of creativity, connection, and mindful exploration. 🙂

Always nice to hear how the sessions are experienced by the teens.

It’s really just about slowing down, creating, and noticing the little things along the way, in art, in conversation, and in everyday life. 🙂

🌅✨ Sunset Series – Kalamunda Shire ✨🌅

We had an amazing time being part of the Sunset Series, six free outdoor movie nights bringing the community together under the stars! 🌟

Alongside the movies, we ran creative art activities for kids and teens, giving everyone a chance to pause, play, and make something colorful while enjoying the evening. 🎨

It was wonderful to see the community spirit alive and well! Families and friends gathering, relaxing, and soaking up the sunset vibes.

A huge thank you to Maz and the team for making it happen, and to everyone who joined in for the movies and creativity!

A few moments from our To the Beat program…

Our mindfulness-based creative program for teens, an 8-week journey of movement, creativity, and connection, where participants explored their own rhythm through art, yoga, mindfulness, and play.

Designed to help young people tune in, express themselves creatively, and reflect on their experiences in a safe, relaxed, and playful environment.

No pressure, no perfection, just space to slow down, try new things, and create in their own way.

We were also lucky to have Demelza from join us for a couple of sessions, sharing her creative practice and guiding participants through hands-on printmaking, such a special experience for the group 🙌

Grateful to share this with such an awesome group of young people, we’re looking forward to term 2! 😀

Huge thank you to & for your support with the program! 🌟❤️

Most people see the finished piece… but the magic actually starts here. ✨

These photos are from the design workshop stage of our collaborative art projects, where teams come together to explore ideas, experiment with colours and shapes, and begin shaping an artwork that represents their shared vision.

It’s part brainstorming, part creative play, and part of the process where people often discover something surprising: “I didn’t realise I could actually contribute something creative!”

No art experience required, just curiosity, conversation, and a willingness to step outside the usual work routine.

By the end, the artwork becomes more than just paint on a wall. It becomes a tangible symbol of connection, collaboration, and fresh ideas for the team.

If your team is looking for a creative way to connect, reflect, and recharge together, we’d love to show you how!

A few moments from the Kalamunda Sunset Series 🌅🎨

Outdoor cinema, yummy food, great family vibes, and a whole lot of creativity!

We’ve loved setting up our art activities and seeing people of all ages sit down, slow down, and make something together as the sun goes down.

Such a beautiful community atmosphere to be part of! Nice work 🙂

We’re excited to announce that local artist Demelza from will be joining To the Beat as our featured guest artist for two special sessions!

As part of the program, Demelza will guide participants through a hands-on printmaking workshop inspired by patterns in nature. You’ll start by looking closely at shapes and textures around you, then design and cut your own stamps.

You’ll use these to print on clothing and paper, experimenting with colour, layering, and layout. There’s no right or wrong, it’s about trying things out, trusting your ideas, and seeing what works.

By the end, you’ll leave with:
    •    Your own printed clothing or artwork
    •    New skills in design and printmaking
    •    More confidence in your creative choices
    •    A chance to slow down, focus, and make something that feels personal

It’s hands-on, creative, and all about making something uniquely yours.

These sessions are part of To the Beat, our 8-week after-school program for teens (12–17yrs), blending movement, creativity, and mindful exploration to help young people tune into their own rhythm and express themselves in a relaxed, supportive space.

There are limited spots remaining ~ register via the link in our bio.
