Ever wondered what fish gills look like up close? 🔬
I just received these slides back from the histology lab and now i want to see if there’s any signs of gill damage! 👇
🔥 I’m researching the impact of bushfire ash on freshwater fish. Gills are very sensitive to environmental contaminants as they are in direct contact to the surrounding water. Any damage such as inflammation could limit oxygen uptake, impacting fish health or survival.
This was just a practice day! I realised I need to learn a lot more about specific types of gill damage so I know what symptoms to search for lol
Even though I have lots to read up on it’s cool seeing some of the work I’ve put in paying off 😄

Market comeback 🫡
As some of you many know I haven’t done a market in yonks so was a little nervous heading back, but what a lovely day surrounded by great people and a great cause 🥰
Thank you for a fabulous and meaningful event, which included a bake sale fundraiser for (I’m sad I didn’t take a photo of the vegan sweeties that were consumed) 🧁

Rescued this beautiful girl last weekend and she’s fit into our lil fam like she was always meant to be part of it 🫶 Her name is Shoelace AKA Lacey and she is perfect (minus eating one of my plants). May she never be forced to run again (only zoomies, whenever she feels like zooming) ❤️

🏭 Fast fashion waste doesn’t just pile up on land - synthetic fibres and production waste/runoff can also end up in our waterways and oceans.
I care about this because what we wear and how it’s made can directly affect ocean health. And don’t even get me started on polyester (plastic) 🙃
My goal is to create pieces that feel more intentional, lower-impact, and made to last ♻️
