TESTIMONY
,,Before heading half way across the world I was prophesied over by a pastor at one of my local churches. I had never met him before, and I hadn’t told him my future plans to join YWAM Perth. In the middle of his teaching he stopped, looked straight at me and said “Sister, you are going to experience God’s love like never before. It is going to hit you like a wall of bricks. You’ll understand Him in a way you didn’t think was possible.”
Moving forward to several months later, I’m sitting in the Compassion DTS classroom, going through orientation. The first thing we do is flip open our welcome books, and Petra (my DTS leader) begins to read. “As a staff we have been praying a lot for this school, and often God would bring us back to His generous love. He loves to pour out His presence. He loves to give grace. He loves to forgive and restore. He is ready to reveal Himself more to you, and to draw you in with this incredible love.”
Love has been the main theme for me at DTS. God has shown me love in so many different ways. His love has restored, purified, and redeemed me. He taught me to love myself. To love my body. To flee from self-destructive thoughts and motives. He taught me to trust in Him because of His love. He taught me to look up into His eyes, and find comfort in what I see. He picked me up and carried me, just as a Father would with a little child. I have discovered that He understands me, He knows the pain I feel when I grieve and feel intense sorrow from the death of my earthly father. But He has done so much more than just understand. He has enveloped me with His mighty arms, and healed me.‘‘

Yesterday we heard from the July Quarter how God moved throughout Europe and Asia. We also prayed for our October Quarter as they prepare for their outreach to Australia, the Middle East and Africa.
