We've visited before, but never during the Autumn Festival... and honestly, it felt like a completely different place. 🍂🥹

Golden leaves covered the ground, the orchard was filled with beautiful photo opportunities and Kai spent the afternoon completely lost in imaginative play.

One minute he was rolling through piles of leaves, the next he was making a very important phone call from the vintage phone booth (to Donkey Kong, obviously 🦍😂).

We packed some bubbles and Kai spent ages chasing them beneath the autumn trees. Sometimes it's the simplest things that become the highlight of the day. 🥹🍂

Our highlights:
🍂 Rolling in the leaves
☎️ Calling Donkey Kong from the flower-adorned phone booth
🫧 Popping bubbles amongst the golden trees
🦙 Feeding grass to the llama and patting the sheep at the animal farm
🚜 Riding on the tractor
☕ Enjoying a coffee while Kai happily devoured an ice cream

What I loved most was that it wasn't just somewhere to take photos. It was somewhere to slow down, play, explore and enjoy being together.

If you've visited S&R Orchard before, I'd highly recommend seeing it during autumn. The golden leaves add a little extra magic to an already beautiful spot. 🤍

I think motherhood has made me notice people standing on the edges a lot more. 🤍

The mums sitting quietly nearby.
The little ones trying to join in play.
The families who are out and about, but still carrying a quiet loneliness underneath it all.

Because for a long time, that was us too.

There’s something about long weekends, public holidays and school holidays that can amplify the feeling of not having your people nearby. Especially when your family and closest friends live far away.

And whilst motherhood can feel lonely at times, no matter where you live, small acts of inclusion genuinely matter more than people realise.

A smile.
An invitation into play.
Offering someone a seat beside you.
Starting the conversation first.

I still remember tiny moments of kindness from strangers and other families that probably seemed insignificant to them, but meant the world to me at the time.

Now, I try really hard to be that person for others too. 🤍

Because sometimes your village finds you slowly.

And sometimes… you build it yourself through small acts of kindness, inclusion and connection along the way.

Motherhood already comes with enough mental load… and honestly, kids clothes can become part of it too. 😅

The constant sizing up.
The piles of barely worn clothes.
Wanting quality without spending ridiculous amounts on outfits they’ll outgrow in five minutes anyway.

Which is exactly why I’ve been loving lately. 🤍

A Perth small business built around making life easier (and more affordable) for families — and only possible because of a beautiful community of mums supporting one another along the way. 🤍

And honestly… the whole experience felt SO thoughtful.

Everything arrived beautifully wrapped, washed, ironed and handpicked with care. (Which instantly impressed me because I barely iron anything myself! 😂)

But the best part? Kai looked SO cool in his outfits without me spending a fortune on clothes he’ll likely outgrow by next season anyway. 😅

I also love that buying pre-loved doesn’t mean sacrificing style. If anything, I feel like I’ve discovered beautiful brands I normally wouldn’t buy brand new.

And for mums drowning in outgrown clothes? (Hello spare bedroom cupboards, overflowing drawers and tubs of clothes waiting to be sorted… or is that just me? 😂)

You simply send photos directly to Rachael and she handles the rest — no Marketplace stress, endless listings or “is this still available?” messages. 🥲

Honestly… more businesses built around helping mums like this please. 🥹🤍

Affordable.
Convenient.
Sustainable.
Community-driven.

From one mama to another. ✨

If your little one seems to outgrow clothes overnight too, definitely check out and save this for your next size-up season. 🤍
