Our goal is to create connected, sustainable and resilient communities. We hope to use this page to help share what we are up to!

Ecoburbia is a sustainable education business owned and run by Shani Graham and Tim Darby. Our aim is to live as sustainably as we can and continue to learn how to build a more resilient lifestyle and community. We want to share our lives and experiences with others, through volunteer work in our community, and paid work. Our latest venture is a development on a quarter acre block in Beaconsfield

Today was our annual leaf collection morning. We fill up the ute and use it to make leaf litter compost. Certain streets in South Fremantle really appreciate our tidying efforts.

Then we have breakfast together. . .

It's a tradition!

Exciting news! Dove had a hot date with Shadow last week. They were both pretty keen and were at it before we even got the gate shut. Dove didn't want to go home!

If he was successful she is due September 13th. We'll have an ultrasound in 6 weeks to confirm.

Fingers crossed!

🕡 6.30 – 8.00pm
🗓 28 April – 30 June

⚡Spaces are limited and a short application process applies to ensure the program is the right fit for you. If you’ve ever thought “our street could be more connected”, this is your chance.

Passata making day!

Thanks to my friend Amy for finding some special sauce tomatoes this year. Apparently they wait for them to down then turn off the water to them for a few weeks to dry them or a bit

Nice chunky passata!

We had a lovely time at the Nannup Music Festival last weekend. I ran several workshops (composting and basic gardening) and even a death cafe. I was amazed how many people came along in the middle of a festival!

I even got interviewed by the ABC who were onsite for the morning!

Are you into singing? Keen to join a relaxed community choir singing some great three-part harmonies?

The Honey Bunch choir is starting up again this Thursday at Ecoburbia from 6 - 7.30pm . Led by Robert Graham the cost is $20 for professional tuition and fun times. You don't need to be a brilliant singer - there are plenty of others to help you stay in tune.

Men especially encouraged but everyone is welcome.

Call Shani on 0417941991 if you want more details.

Wow! what a response. I am closing off spots at the moment while we see how many people we get. pm me to go on a wait list.

Do you work from home? Or are you studying? Would you like company occasionally? Or do you get distracted by other things that need to be done at home?

Then come and cowork with us!

We run a session on Monday and Friday. We start at 9am and work in a quiet environment until we have a cuppa together at 11am, then work again until a late lunch at 1.30pm. Tim and I usually have a nap but the space is available until 5pm. It is a quiet work environment.

We have a big table, a nice garden to look at, power, internet and great morning teas. Bring your own lunch.

And it's free!

Dove still loves to play.

She has discovered that if she lies on her tummy and pushes with her back legs the boat is just like a slide.

I finally got it on camera!

Look who we found in the garden!

Does anyone know what sort of bird it is?

We think it's after the fish in the fishpond!
