{style advice} Q: “Courtney, can I still wear skinny jeans?”

A: Which of the below statements feels like you?

1. Being fashionable and on trend is very important to me.
2. I don’t follow trends I stick to a classic timeless look.
3. I like to dip my toe into trends. I’m nervous but I’d like to try.

If you answered 1:
Yer... you shouldn’t be wearing skinny jeans. Try wide, baggy or flare.

If you answered 2:
You enjoy your Paige dark blue skinny jeans gf. You look amazing in them.

If you answered 3:
A good “entry jean” out of skinnies to try is a slim straight cut. My favourite low priced are the Zara High-rise straight jeans $60 (swipe). Then if you love straights you can invest in a more $$ pair next winter.

{style lesson} Introducing tonal dressing. Tonal dressing is the easiest way to instantly elevate any look. All you have to do is pair a top and bottom in the same colour palette. Think about the paint isle in Bunnings. The colours don’t have to be the exact same but they’re in the same “family”- cousins if you will.

To demonstrate my point imagine image one with a black T-shirt. Great outfit but doesn’t have that “styled” factor that the white t does. Feels a lil predictable. I can feel you starting to be confused about a white t with a cream pant. Yes. This is what I’m suggesting. They’re in the same family so it works (think about Bunnings again).

Think about a coloured skirt/short/ pant that you have in your wardrobe. Now go see if you have a top in that same colour palette.

Boom.
Instant elevation.

My whole life people always think they’ve met me before. It’s got to the point where I look at over Seve and say “it’s happening again”.

It goes like this:
Lovely Human “we’ve met before”
Me “really? I’m pretty good at faces. I don’t think so”
Lovely Human “what school did you go to?”
Me “St. Stephens, but honestly this happens to me all the time. I must have a really common head”.
Lovely human “no no. We definitely know each other. Do you have a sister?”

And so it goes.

It’s the funniest conversation loop to be in. Does this happen to anyone else?!

News flash - you’re the size you are. If your goal is to look amazing learn how to dress your body. You don’t need to change your body to look amazing.

What if I told you your body will look insane as it is right now if you dress correctly?

I do bloody love my fake specs from ASOS. It was hard to find ones that weren’t blue light. Just FAKE. Seems there isn’t a big call for them 🤔 🤣

The buyer REALLY understands their clients and knows exactly what styles are coming next season. I also love a Instagram purchase. Ascher m*ther f*cking Smith . For those who slide into my DM’s asking who is behind my backyard makeover here’s your answer. She’s a creative genius (obviously) but is also amazing at thinking of out the box so the design suits your family’s lifestyle. For those of you that DM to ask if I would recommend her my answer is always HELL YES.

She’s stupid talented and also a completely beautiful human with an amazing family.
