Djidi djidi 2 created artwork today for National Simultaneous Storytime. The artwork linked to Luna Roo and focused on how to be a good teammate!

This week is Reconciliation week. Djidi djidi 1 recognised Sorry Day by discussing why it was important to say sorry to the Indigenous peoples of Australia. We learnt about the Stolen Generation and how saying sorry means we care and want to show kindness and respect to everyone and learn from our history. We talked about how important family, culture and feeling connected is for everyone.

Bertram Primary came together today to celebrate National Simultaneous Storytime for 2026. This year’s story was Luna Roo: the Kangaroo Baller, an inspiring tale of courage, perseverance and determination. All students listened attentively to our special Auslan interpreted story, which made this amazing story accessible for our Deaf and hard of hearing students, as well as promoting inclusivity in our wider school community.

A fresh face lands at the Bombers 🔴⚫️

With pick No.1 of the 2026 Telstra AFL Mid-Season Rookie Draft, Essendon select Jaxon Artemis from Tasmania VFL.

Yesterday our Year 1s in Djidi-djidi 1 and Koolbardi 4 joined together for Art to learn about sculptures. First we looked at work from the famous sculptor Alexander Calder and then we made our own sculpture. It was so much fun!

Jump Rope for Heart has begun!

For the next few weeks, students will be skipping towards healthy hearts and raising funds for Heart Research!
