Look at our new fence. We can’t believe what a difference it is making to the front of the school.
We’re always looking for opportunities to make our school better - a fallen tree = a new fence! Small changes and strategic thinking make a big difference!

And that’s a wrap! What an incredible way to end an amazing year!
As has become a special tradition, our Year 6s farewelled their primary school journey in style with the much-loved hat toss.
Today we celebrated over 130 amazing students as they officially closed the chapter on their primary school years. So many memories, friendships, and achievements to be proud of!
A huge well done to our parents and families for your support, encouragement, and partnership throughout the years; it truly makes a difference. And to our Year 6s… this will always be your school, and you’ll always be welcome here. We can’t wait to see the incredible people you become!
Wishing you all the very best as you head off to new adventures. The future is certainly bright!

Happy Deputy Principal’s Day!
Today, Mrs Melville and I were absolutely showered in love, gifts, and appreciation by our wonderful staff and students as we celebrated World Deputy Principal’s Day (yes…this is a non-traditional day, but one we’re more than happy to embrace!).
A huge shoutout to Ms Evans who was instrumental in leading the celebrations today. None of this would have been possible without her merry band of sneaky teachers, who put together the most thoughtful day full of surprises inspired by the “12 Days of Christmas.” Over the course of the day, we were treated to songs, dances, musical numbers, poetry, stories, artworks, cards, high fives, and so much joy. Our teachers truly nailed the theme and even brought us (well, Ms Lindley especially) to tears!
To our amazing Burrendah teachers, our fantastic students, and of course to Ms Evans, our Principal, who absolutely spoilt us rotten today… THANK YOU! We felt every bit of your kindness.
What touched us most was seeing how much heart, time, and genuine care went into every surprise. Moments like these remind us why we love what we do, and why our Burrendah community truly feels like family.
Keep an eye out next week for our BEST DEPUTY PRINCIPAL T-shirts. We will be wearing them proudly!
In the words of some of our students… 'Ms Lindley, you are an angel sent from heaven' and 'Mrs Melville, thank you for being the intelligent one'. Never a truer word spoken.
