Hey dads, here are 5 sneaky ways to get fit and stay fit.
1. Trade in 20 minutes of scrolling social media, watching Netflix or TikTok, for a quick workout session. By cutting out time-wasting activities and prioritising exercise, you'll be doing your body a favour and paving the way to a healthier, more energised you.
2. By choosing to take the stairs instead of the elevators or escalators, you can easily incorporate more physical activity into your daily routine. Walking 8,000 to 10,000 steps per day can help you burn up to 600 calories, leading to significant weight loss over time. In fact, over the course of just 20 weeks, opting for the stairs on a regular basis can result in a weight loss of up to 10 kilograms. So, next time you have the option, take the stairs and make progress towards your weight loss and fitness goals.
3. Accountability is crucial when it comes to achieving your health goals. One effective way to stay accountable is to find a support system, such as a training partner, group fitness classes, or a personal trainer or coach. These individuals can provide encouragement, guidance, and feedback to help you stay motivated and disciplined on your fitness journey. Hey Dads!
Get ready to grill up the best chicken skewers you've ever tasted! Try our mouth-watering soy ginger chicken skewers recipe and impress the whole family. Perfect for busy dads who want to cook something quick, easy, and delicious. π₯π
METHOD
1. Begin by cutting the chicken into 1.5-inch
pieces. Chop all the garlic and ginger but only
add 2 cloves and 2 inches to the chicken, along with 1 tbsp. of soy sauce and 1 tbsp. of honey. Mix well and leave to marinate whilst preparing the rice.
2. Rinse the rice in cold water until it runs clear and drain. In a non-stick saucepan at medium
heat, add 1 tsp. of coconut oil, the remaining
clove of garlic and 1-inch of ginger and cook for 30 seconds.
3. Add the coconut milk, bay leaf, 50ml water, and black pepper to taste. Then add ΒΌ of a stock pot and stir to dissolve before adding the drained rice and bring to a boil. Cover and turn to low for 10 minutes.
4. Whilst the rice is cooking, bring a non-stick pan to medium-high heat. Skewer the chicken and add to the preheated pan. Cook for 8-10
minutes turning every minute or two to avoid
burning.
5. After the rice has finished cooking for 10
minutes turn the heat off and leave to sit
covered for 10 more minutes. Once the chicken is charred and cooked through, remove, and set aside to rest.
6. Once both the chicken and rice have rested,
plate and garnish with sesame seeds before
slicing and adding the cucumber on the side
and serve.
