Our educators are the heart of everything we do 💙.

When you feel valued, supported, and genuinely cared for, children feel it too. It's in the consistency, the relationships, the sense of belonging you create every day. That's what matters most in early childhood.

So here's our commitment to you... at Child Australia, your wages are protected. If government funding for the Worker Retention Payment doesn't cover the cost from November, we will.

Looking for a workplace that truly puts people first, in practice, not just in policy? Come and join our team!

⭐ 𝗦𝗲𝗲 𝗜𝘁. 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗜𝘁. 𝗦𝗮𝘆 𝗜𝘁. ⭐
Protecting every child, every day... together.

At Child Australia, we use a simple shared language for child safety - *See it. Stop it. Say it.*

Drawing on best practice and evidence-based research, we developed our own initiative *See it. Stop it. Say it.* and we're rolling it out across every service we operate.

It's the standard we hold our educators to. And it's how we invite you in.

👀 𝗦𝗲𝗲 𝗶𝘁. - Our educators are trained to notice the small things, body language, a shift in mood, an interaction that doesn't quite sit right. We use an Adult Behaviour Traffic Light Framework that names what's safe, what's concerning, and what's harmful — including the boundary-blurring behaviours that often go unspoken in our sector.

🤚 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗶𝘁. - When something doesn't fit our standard, we interrupt early. Quietly. Firmly. Before it becomes a problem.

🗣️ 𝗦𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝘁. - We have clear escalation pathways to service leaders, to Compliance Leaders, to Senior Leaders, and where required, directly to the Regulatory Authority. Raising a concern in good faith isn't just permitted at Child Australia. It's expected, supported, and protected.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘆𝗼𝘂

You know your child better than anyone. If something seems doesn't seem right in your child's mood, in our service, in interactions you observe, it matters to us. Please talk to your Service Leader or email us at [email protected]

We will listen, we will act and we will follow up with you.

This is how we build safety together. 💙

We understand why reconciliation matters. But the real question is, how do we make it part of our everyday practice as educators? ❤️💛🖤

It doesn’t have to be big or perfect. It might be learning about the Traditional Owners of the land where you live and work, exploring First Nations art with children or simply asking yourself new questions and staying curious.

Reconciliation isn’t something that happens once a year. It grows through the everyday choices we make in our work, our conversations and our learning.

🖤💛 From Sorry to Action ❤️🖤

National Sorry Day invites us to reflect on history and healing. But in early childhood education, reflection alone is not enough.

This year's theme calls us to move beyond words.
“From Sorry to Action” is about what we do every day in our learning environments to honour First Nations peoples, culture, and connection to Country.

Action looks like listening.
Action looks like embedding culture with care.
Action looks like ensuring every child grows up connected to Country and respect for First Nations peoples.

Children don’t just learn about reconciliation. They experience it through the environments we create and the practices we model.

🏛️ Strengthening Governance & Leadership in our Child Australia OSHC services
We recently delivered Governance and Leadership training with our OSHC Leadership teams in the NT.

This session focused on building strong, confident leadership practices that support high-quality OSHC services, clear decision-making and consistent governance across teams. We explored how effective leadership directly empowers educators on the ground - creating clarity, strengthening communication and building a culture where staff feel supported and capable in their roles.

When leadership is strong, educators are empowered... and when educators are empowered, children benefit through safer, more consistent and more enriching environments.

✨ Big smiles from the team at Uplyft Early Learning & Development Centres Joondana after our recent PD session exploring the updated EYLF V2.0! 😀

With the introduction of EYLF V2.0, educators are being encouraged to deepen reflective practice, strengthen children’s agency and wellbeing, and embed more inclusive, responsive approaches into everyday learning.

Together, we unpacked what these changes mean in practice & on the floor. Thank you to the team for the energy, thoughtful discussions and of course… the selfie requests 📸

Creating safer environments starts with confident educators who know what to notice, what to do, and when to speak up. 🗣️

Our See It. Stop It. Say It workshops in Albany brought multiple services together to build a shared understanding of child safety, professional responsibility and speaking up with confidence.

Through real scenarios and open discussion, educators strengthened their ability to recognise concerns early, respond in the moment and take appropriate & timely action.

It’s these shared conversations that help build consistency across services, and strengthen a culture where safety is actively lived, not just documented.
