🌈 Colour, Listen, Move... Together! 🌈
Learning comes alive when children are having fun! Today we played a simple but exciting colour recognition and listening game using colourful bands.
Each child wore a different coloured band on their wrists or ankles. When a colour was called, everyone wearing that colour had to quickly move to the centre of the circle at the same time before returning to their spot. As the game progressed, we added multiple colours and changed the speed to make it even more challenging!
This engaging activity supported so much more than colour recognition.
The children practised:
🟡 Listening carefully to instructions.
🔵 Processing auditory information.
🟢 Responding quickly and appropriately.
🔴 Working together as a team.
🟣 Waiting for their turn and following game rules.
🟠 Building coordination, balance and body awareness while moving.
Best of all, there were smiles, laughter, and plenty of encouragement as everyone celebrated each other's success!
