To be ....

Perfect!

"Our mind is like a cabby who sits in a pub and drives passengers to different places in his dreams.
Trying to work with the mind alone will lead nowhere.
The power of changing oneself lies not in the mind but in the body and feelings."--G.I Gurdjieff, "Views from the Real World"

This is why our approach utilises working with the physiology of the body and nervous system.

Change has to be felt in the body before it can be taken into your life, so somatic awareness is one of the first steps to embodied change and leadership that we teach.

The power of learning with horses is their huge gut sensing abilities and rather than ignore these sensations (like many humans) they orient to their environment and listen to the wisdom of their body.

Their felt senses hold messages to be responded to, so becoming more horse-like is about developing your somatic intelligence and awareness by tuning into the nuances of your felt sensations and understanding the messages underlying your emotions.

It's also about focusing on the good and pleasurable rather than on what is not working in your life.

Learning the language of sensation and allowing ourselves to feel helps to develop our hara (gut) and heart intelligence.

Most aware horse people have felt that almost electric jolt in the guts that instinctively happens when a horse or herd suddenly senses danger, especially as a horse's number one priority is safety and self care.

When we learn to listen to our body and trust our instincts, deep down, we really do know when we know we have a gut knowing rather than being driven by fear.

Love, kindness and understanding can conquer all, if we allow it to.

Horses don’t listen to the words you speak...

Horses don't listen to the words you speak!
Instead they understand everything about you that is unspoken: They listen to your 'energetic signature' - the tone of voice underlying your mood, your subtle body language, your unconscious facial cues and eye movements, the quality of your breath and it's impact on your nervous system, along with the accompanying emotions.
Horse attunes to your silences that arise in pure presence and awareness and hear every word you don't say or are reluctant to say, even to yourself.
