Congratulations to Riley House for claiming victory at today’s Junior School Interhouse Athletics Carnival. 🏃‍♀️

Our Kindy to Year 6 girls gave their all, showing determination, teamwork and House pride throughout a day filled with energy, encouragement and outstanding effort.

A special congratulations to Lefroy House, whose infectious spirit and unwavering support earned them the coveted House Spirit Trophy.

🔎 Guess the Relic

Every year, our Year 3 students dive into the history of St Mary’s through our Past and Present program.

As a fun introduction, we handed them a collection of objects from the past and asked one simple question: What is it? 🤔

Their responses are equal parts impressive, creative and hilarious.

Our Year 3 students took part in a special service celebrating a cherished tradition from our early years. ⚜️

Dressed in white chapel dresses, gloves and hats, the girls learned about the School's history from Archivist Stephanie Neille and Old Girls Margaret Jago (Parker '72), Kerry Rapley (Beard '68) and Pamela Mann (Beard '67). 👒

The morning concluded with morning tea and lawn games in the Fideliter Garden, bringing together students, parents and Old Girls to celebrate St Mary's rich history in our 105th birthday year.

Our Year 5 students have returned from a memorable camp at our Metricup campus, where they embraced outdoor adventure, built resilience and strengthened friendships along the way. 🏕️

A highlight was the 6km Cape to Cape coastal hike, where the girls navigated sandy tracks, rugged terrain and breathtaking scenery.

The experience inspired Year 5 student Benita to capture the journey in a wonderful poem:

Walk and walk,
There was no talk.
Step by step,
We had good prep.
Ocean howling, windy air,
Sandy sand with rocky land.
Sun in the sky,
Sweat on your thigh.
Beautiful landscape, lush and green,
Flowers with all colours, even cream.
Bags heavy, coming on the way,
At the end we made it, hip hip hooray!

As we enter a season of "lasts" for our Year 12 students, Djilba Music Night marked a special milestone for our graduating musicians. 🎶 💙

Named for the Noongar season of Djilba, a time of transition and new beginnings, the evening brought together choirs, orchestras and bands from across the Senior School for a celebration of music and performance.

For our Year 12 students, it was a final opportunity to share their musical talents on our stage. Congratulations to all performers on a memorable evening.

It was a special night for our Year 12 dancers, who took to the stage for their final performance as part of our 2026 Senior School Dance Showcase. 💃🏼

The evening celebrated the talent, creativity and dedication of dancers across the Senior School, with students presenting works inspired by a range of historical, social and cultural influences.

Congratulations to all involved on a wonderful showcase, and thank you to our staff for supporting our dancers throughout the year. ✨

Top 3 finish at the IGSSA Athletics Carnival! 🥉

It was a fantastic day for St Mary's at yesterday's IGSSA Athletics Carnival at WA Athletics Stadium.

Our girls combined strong performances across the track and field to secure third place overall, while our Year 8 team claimed the pennant with an impressive five track wins and two field wins. 🏃‍♀️🏅

A huge congratulations to all athletes who competed with determination, resilience and plenty of maroon pride throughout the day.

Happy Father's Day to all our St Mary's dads, grandfathers and father figures! Today we celebrate the love, encouragement and support you give our girls so they feel confident and loved.
Thanks to everyone who came along to our Early Learning celebration on Friday, enjoying a Chapel service, morning tea and bush walk. It was great to have you with us.
