What a fabulous Mother’s Day celebration we had at the centre today!
It was wonderful to see such a great turnout and to share such a special afternoon together. The children were so busy pampering their mums, creating special moments, and showering them with love and affection. Seeing the smiles, cuddles, laughter, and excitement throughout the celebration was truly heartwarming.
Thank you to all of our beautiful mums and families who joined us and helped make the day so memorable. We hope you felt as special and appreciated as you truly are. 💖

Last week we celebrated an incredible milestone – 20 years of dedicated service from one of our amazing educators, Snez!!
For two decades, she has shown unwavering commitment, passion, and genuine care for every child and family who has walked through our doors. Her dedication to early childhood education, her nurturing heart, and her constant support for her team have made a lasting impact on our centre and community.
Twenty years is not just a number – it represents thousands of smiles, countless learning moments, and a lifetime of difference made in the lives of children.
We are beyond grateful for Snez's loyalty, professionalism, and the warmth she brings each and every day. Congratulations on this remarkable achievement – we are so proud and so thankful to have you as part of our team 🤍

Every day, our educators and teachers make hundreds of small decisions that shape a child's confidence, joy and sense of belonging.
We measure impact through research and outcomes — but children experience it in the moments that matter most.
How safe they feel.
How curious they become.
How confident they grow.
This is Goodstart, through the eyes and voices of the children we're here for.

Today at the centre, we took time to acknowledge National Mourning Day in a way that was thoughtful, respectful, and meaningful for our kindergarten children.
Through guided conversations, the children were supported to explore the importance of kindness, unity, and togetherness, and how small, caring actions can make a difference, especially during times of sadness and reflection. We spoke in age-appropriate ways about coming together as a community and showing care for one another.
As part of this experience, the children participated in a collaborative activity where they painted and created paper candles, each writing one kind act they would like to do for someone else. These simple yet powerful messages reflected the children’s genuine understanding of compassion and empathy.
Children brought in flowers, candles were lit, and children’s candle creations were hung in the entrace, creating a calm and meaningful space of remembrance. This collective moment allowed the children to honour and acknowledge the lives impacted by the Bondi terror attack on 14 December, in a way that felt safe, supportive, and developmentally appropriate.
This experience highlighted the children’s capacity for empathy and reinforced the importance of fostering kindness and connection within our community, even at a young age. Through shared reflection and togetherness, we honoured those affected and reaffirmed the values of care, respect, and unity.
