Just for laughs really!

A friend of mine pointed this out. Adductor and abductor exercises are very good for pelvic floor muscles. I've even read that it helps with the bladder and this helps us going through menopause or in woman in general having to go to the toilet so much during night.
She said that she hates using the bands as she often looses her balance being an older women.

When she spoke with the male gym manager about how most women and expecting mums should have access to weight assisted adductor and abductor equiptment where they can sit down and workout safer, he said 'there’s no room - and just use bands around legs for glutes!'
Hmm some confusion about muscle groups but my suggestions would be using this equipment or these exercises as alternatives.

I haven't trained since I fell/ flew over a box at work Dec 2022. Luckily I avoided breaking my knee caps but they were so painful that I couldn't kneel for a year. That pain eclipsed that fact that I had a broken foot - a fractured metatarsal that all the X-rays, ultrasound, plus podiatrist and physios couldn't pick up. I knew it wasn't right and persistence with a nuclear bone density scan finally showed it up. Standing and walking at work definatley took their toll as I was so exhausted from every step I took that I had to rest in between, before and after any shifts. So now it's a moon boot! What I have continued with is Yin yoga to keep my mobility and rom good. Now to get back to some upper body work!

As a fitness professional with a diploma in fashion, I’m regarded as above average height for a woman at 174cm or 5’9”. Im consider myself pretty lucky in the injury stakes although I am considered obese. I’ve been on the planet for over 50 years and think I may have some interesting insights about the body composition / weight / size conversations. Is it relative to consequence or age?

Who really knows what they are doing when it comes to training safely? Are you getting the results you would like from what you are doing now? What's the difference between cardio and resistance training? Your not meant to know, but I do. Share this page if you would like to find a mature sensible Personal Trainer, who understands and what its like to have had a baby and/or one of the menopausal stages where you can honestly say - who are you and what have you done with my body!

Don't hate me for talking about Melbourne Cup Day already! But my friends and I are discussing where to go and I for one would like to look a lot hotter, as in shape not weather, than I did last year. So this year I'm making a plan. Ladies with 3 months up our sleeves we can make a real difference to how we will look and feel for this special event. Who's with me?
