THANK YOU to all involved in the huge success that was the Kensington Primary School 95th Anniversary fete!
Please check back here for the occasional memorabilia post and updates on our next fete celebrating the 100 year anniversary of KPS! Every 5 years The Kensington Primary School Parentsβ and Citizensβ Association (P&C) holds a School Fete. The P&C is group of people that care about enriching the education and lives of young people at Kensington Primary School (KPS).

πππ What an insight!
Take a closer look at the 'brief history' of Kensington Primary, as appears in the Education Circulars 1926-1986.
It tells of student numbers fluctuating between 220 to 600 at its peak in 1948 before dropping off again in later years,
..of 'hat rooms' π π© being used as classrooms,
..of π· flu epidemics,
..and of open fireplaces π₯ being replaced by gas heaters in 1978! π€
It also shows the important role that the P&C play in improving the school - from the installation of electricity β‘οΈ in 1927 and various playground & garden upgrades π³, to supplying books π and sporting equipment π π!
Priceless items like this circular are laid out for display every five years at our school fete πͺ

We had a fantastic Memorabilia Display π€© at our 95th Anniversary last weekend!
The was a huge turnout on the day- our parent helpers welcoming many past and present students, teachers and friends to view this amazing display.
Featuring treasured photos & memorabilia, dating as far back as 1926!

π Well that's a wrap.
What an amazing effort from the extended KPS community, supporters and friends of the school. The entertainers and performers were all amazing π€©
It absolutely blew our minds with the love and generosity shown today to pull this off! You all deserve a pat in the back!!
We truly hope everyone had an amazing time making memories to last a lifetime! (If not, then at least last the five years til next feteπ€£!)

π§Ί Find a spot and settle in for the afternoon/ evening. BYO picnic blanket, esky & shopping bags π (our Kensington Market will have something for everyone!)
π² π₯€ There will be some amazing food for sale including our KPS curry stall and the DUCKS are pulling out all the stops with some gourmet offerings! π π π₯

There's also our wine & cheese π§ π· gourmet tastings (don't forget to book- link in bio!) along with our famous Devonshire Tea and Cakeπ§ π° stalls. There's also lollies, coffee, slushies and more!!
Enjoy the food all while being entertained by some amazing acts on the main stage π€ π πΈ
πͺ Remember your gold coins! But never fear, if you run out, EFTPOS is widely available & we will even sell you gold coins π°

π Parking- limited around the school but please double check 'no standing' signs and yellow lines. The fine is hefty and your funds are better spent with the school π€£.
The weather is set to be FABULOUS βοΈ so why not walk and enjoy the spring flowers on your way to school πΊ
π² ...Or ride your bikes, the bike rack will be available for use however racks will be temporarily relocated near the front office, byo bike locks too. π
π§’ π βοΈ π Slip,slop,slap! It's set to be 22 and sunny, not too hot but the UV index is 10! Bring the kids water bottles too! .
