Mother’s Day is a day to reflect on the immeasurable impact that our mothers have had on our lives. When we take a second to take a step back and remember the depth of their love, we can truly appreciate the sacrifices that our mothers have made for us.
There are so many things we wish we could say to our mum on Mother's Day - whether it's a genuine expression of love, or just a heartfelt conversation about a reflection of the past. When we take the time to truly appreciate our mothers, we realize just how much they have done for us over the years. Say something that comes from the heart – only then will she know how important she is to you.😊

Play really is enough.

Yes, children will need to learn academics, listen and sit still. But that certainly doesn’t mean that these lessons should be straight-jacketed onto them in the toddler and preschool years. In fact, the funneling down of structured learning is all the more reason to let children play while they can. We must fiercely protect this precious, ever shrinking window of time for our children.⁠

From January, Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is changing so all families can get at least 72 hours of subsidised child care each fortnight. Families can still get 100 hours of CCS each fortnight if they do more than 48 hours of recognised participation or have a valid exemption. If you already get CCS, you don’t need to do anything. We’ll apply these changes for you. It’s always a good idea to check your details are up to date to make sure you’re getting the right amount. See the comments for more.

Apologising to your child when you make a mistake is a valuable parenting practice. It models accountability, builds trust and strengthens your relationship with your child. By apologising you demonstrate that making mistakes is normal, and that taking responsibility for your action is important🙂
