On Monday, the 11th of May, ten of Carnabyβs emerging young leaders attended the City of Wanneroo School Leadership Forum.
2026 marks Carnaby Rise Primary Schoolβs third year participating in the program.
The forum involved a range of workshops and activities designed to support the development of student leadership skills.
During the forum, schools also had the opportunity to begin a youth-led Community Action Project, working together to address an identified community need.
Over the next six months, the student leaders will develop their project, culminating in the annual showcase evening in November.
Stay tuned for more information about the leadersβ Community Action Project!

π€πβ€οΈ National Reconciliation Week 2026 β€οΈππ€
At Carnaby Rise Primary School, we proudly recognise National Reconciliation Week and this yearβs theme, βAll In.β
This theme encourages all Australians to work together towards reconciliation by learning from our shared histories, listening with respect, and taking meaningful action in our everyday lives.
Throughout this time, students will engage in a variety of activities and learning experiences that celebrate and acknowledge the cultures, histories, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. These opportunities will support important conversations around respect, understanding, connection, and community.
As a school community, we are committed to continuing the journey of reconciliation together and creating a future built on inclusion, respect, and understanding for all. πΏ

β¨ G.E.M. Bands Have Arrived! β¨
We are very excited to share that our G.E.M. bands have arrived, generously donated by our wonderful P&C Association. π
Over the coming weeks, students may come home wearing one of the four bands as recognition for demonstrating one of our G.E.M. pillars:
π Gratitude
π Empathy
π Mindfulness
π Emotional Literacy
These important skills are taught through our G.E.M. program and help students build resilience, wellbeing, positive relationships, and emotional awareness.
We look forward to celebrating our students as they continue to shine through these positive values! β¨
