Wishing all the very best to the artists exhibiting in the One Tree Art Prize this weekend 🌳

We’ve loved being a metro art depo, having artists drop by to pick up their blank canvas, and then returning to drop their completed artworks!

We’re especially excited to see work by Bridget Seaton, one of our wonderful Atwell House teachers, whose beautiful tree artwork is part of this year’s exhibition.

Presented by the Ludlow Tuart Forest Restoration Group, the One Tree Art Prize celebrates trees through portrait painting and invites conversations about their significance to our landscapes, communities and planet.

All works are the same size and are $200

If you’re heading down south over the long weekend, the exhibition is open 30 May – 1 June, 10am–3pm at the Ludlow Gallery.

A heartfelt thank you to every artist who opened their doors, shared their stories, and welcomed our community into their creative world during Melville Open Studios

Atwell House & Gallery was buzzing with over 750 visitors across the weekend — and it showed just how much people love coming together to support our local artists.

From the beautiful work of our Aboriginal Art Group and the Printmakers Association of WA and Alfred Cove Arts to the talented artists of the Open House Group, and artists Fiona Buchanan, Michelle Currie, Tatyana Soboleva, and Lawrence Easton — you made this event truly special.

The conversations and connections, made Melville Open Studios 2026 a resounding success!

We are proud to support the 20th Kondinin Art Exhibition as a metropolitan artwork drop-off point, connecting Perth-based artists with this wonderful regional celebration of creativity.

Presented by the Kondinin Artists Group in conjunction with the Shire of Kondinin, this milestone exhibition marks two decades of artistic achievement.

A special highlight this year — acquisition works from 2006 to 2025 will be on display, with the opportunity to meet the acquisition artists in person. A rare and fascinating look at the evolution of the award.
