Have you seen this award-winning short documentary yet? If not, this is your chance!
Filmed over 18 months by Noongar filmmaker Hugh Sando, this intimate documentary is a story of cultural revival, truth-telling, and reconciliation – set against the backdrop of Australia’s failed 2023 Voice referendum. Boodjara follows Noongar community participants in the Place Names Melville project, which was produced by Moodjar, CAN, City of Melville, and funded by Lotterywest. This powerful journey to reclaim ancestral placenames, revive an endangered language, and reconnect with stories and lore embedded in Boodja (Country) is one not to miss!
'Boodjara' is screening along with three other short films as part of the Long Shorts and Short Longs Docos program at Palace Cinemas in Raine Square on
