Stitched in Twine - Weaving and Fibre Art

I’ve dropped every other unfinished project like a hot potato to start a new one because I imagined weaving these shape looms full of art yarn and beads as a Mother’s Day present 💝

Who can relate to having 1000 projects on the go? Anyone want to join me in making a handmade Mother’s Day present at the almost (but not quite) last minute? I’ve had a new delivery of these metal shapes so you can get either the small or the large size now 💕

Now I’m off to go raid my fibre stash to find the perfect art yarn!

Fibre flowers are my latest obsession 🧡💜
Collaborating with and getting to preview the new summer collection of cloud 9 cotton string provided me with so much inspiration. These colours screamed floral and I needed to find a way to make that happen.

After photographing this piece hanging on my sons bedroom wall (where the lighting is best), I forgot to move it. He came home from daycare and when he went into his room he started exclaiming “Mummy made me pretty flowers!”
Ever since then this weaving has hung up on his wall, he loves it and I love that he loves something I made so much 🧡

These cottons are Vivid Violet, Flora Fiesta and Orange Zest
