LESS THAN 7 DAYS TO GO.

What if failure wasn’t something to avoid?

What if it was the place where the interesting and beautiful stuff starts?

This Sunday, we’re getting together at Perth Actors Studio for The Glorious Failure Workshop. A 3.5-hour workshop exploring the world of physical comedy, spontaneity, play and letting go of the need to get it right.

Come out of your head.
Take some risks.
Be ridiculous.
Fail bloody gloriously.

No acting experience required.
No pressure to be funny.
Just come ready to play.

Less than two weeks away. 🎭

This was taken during a workshop I ran in Vancouver with East End Boys Club. Watching the boys build courage to step forward, take up space and find a place to be themselves fully was incredible. This is why this work exists and I cannot wait to share it with Perth.

The Glorious Failure Workshop. August 9th. 3.5 hours of play, movement and performance designed to help you build real confidence and take up more space in the world.

Actors, performers and everyday people welcome.

Tickets are just $20. Grab yours via the link in bio before they're gone. 🎭

What is glorious failure?

It's about committing wholeheartedly. No desired outcome. No safety net. Nowhere to hide. Just showing up and playing full out.

Then something unexpected happens. You fail. Loudly. Publically. But you realise you're okay! You didn't die. You had no idea what was waiting for you and you showed up anyway. Perhaps you even had some fun and felt bloody alive.

That's glorious failure!

Most of us spend our whole lives avoiding that moment. Following that voice that tells us not to stand up, speak up or dance like an absolute idiot without a care in the world. So we play small, hold back and wait until the next time. Let's be honest, that next time never happens and over time that critical voice gets louder.

This is where Fall Forward exists and our workshops come alive. Our work draws from clowning and physical comedy. Not just red noses and birthday parties. Raw, committed, vulnerable presence. The mess, the magic and everything in between.

It’s bloody here!! 🎭

The Glorious Failure Workshop.

Sunday August 9th | 10am - 1:30pm | Perth Actors Studio, Osborne Park

This is a hands on experience designed to help you build real confidence and find that voice that may have been lost somewhere along the way. Not through theory or someone talking at you but through exploration and play. Loudly, bloody messy and failing gloriously.

Whether you’re an actor or performer looking to find some freedom before an audition or performance or if you’re feeling stuck and know there’s more in you than you’ve been showing the world. This weird and wonderful workshop is for you!

This work has been brought back from North America and we are bringing it to Perth for the very first time. Tickets are just $20 for this first workshop only! Grab yours via the link in bio before they’re gone.

No experience necessary. Just show up ready to play. 🎭

Hello, I’m Luke.

Perth born and raised. I’m an actor, workshop facilitator, a professional idiot and the founder of Fall Forward Project. I’ve spent the last five years learning, training and getting it bloody wrong at some of the best acting and physical comedy institutions in North America.

What I have found through this work is that when we stop trying to get it right and start allowing ourselves to be present, take up space and really fail, loudly and without apology, something extraordinary happens. We come alive. We remember who we were before someone told us to be quiet, sit still and stop being too much.

Somewhere along the way most of us learned to shrink. To play it safe. To keep the volume down. In doing that we lost touch with the most alive, most authentic version of ourselves.

Fall Forward exists to find that person again.

Through play, movement and performance we create a space where fear becomes fuel, mess becomes magic and you rediscover just how much you are made of.

Whether you’re an actor, a performer or someone who just knows there’s more in you than you’ve been showing the world, this is for you. I bloody love this work and cannot wait to share this weird, wonderful and beautiful mess with you.

Our first workshop lands August 9th at .actorsstudio Tickets are in the bio. See you there. Xoxo
