Book Club is booming and Mrs West is coming on board to run alongside Mrs Fletcher from Term 3 onwards! ๐Ÿ“š
These sessions are free (funded by the P&C) and include reading, crafts, games and afternoon tea. ๐Ÿซ–โ˜•
Book Club is open to students in Year 3-7, with two sessions (junior and senior) running simultaneously in the library on Monday after school, from 3pm-4pm.๐Ÿ“•๐Ÿ“˜๐Ÿ“–

Earlier this term, our Kindergarten students enjoyed a visit from Ms Smyth's Year 9/10 Health Promotion class. The students all had a great time engaging in a variety of activities together. They were also fortunate enough to venture outside into some sunshine, where they had fun practicing their kicking and throwing skills.

๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ As we look back on the term, we're revisiting another great day at Roleystone Community College... our Cross Country Carnival!

Throughout the day, year groups took to the course, with students from Pre-Primary through to Year 10 getting out there, having a go and backing each other along the way. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›

One thing that really stood out was the resilience of our upper primary and secondary students. There were plenty of tired faces as they crossed the finish line, but they kept going and got the job done. At the other end of the school, our youngest runners reminded us that sometimes it's simply about having a go, having fun and enjoying the experience. ๐ŸŒŸ๐Ÿ‘

A huge shout out to our Secondary Sports Coaching students, who helped set up the course and spent the day out on the track encouraging runners from start to finish. They were an incredible support crew and played a big part in making the day such a success. ๐Ÿ™Œ

Our fantastic Festival of Math has commenced, and our Kindy students were fortunate enough to play first. ๐ŸŒŸThey were lucky to have some expert Mathematicians to help them understand how to play the games, which added to the experience and excitement. โž•โž–โž—๐ŸŸฐMore of our students will descend on the Undercover area today and tomorrow, to enjoy the games and events. The festival will culminate in the Maths Bee Final, where we will find out on Friday who will bee our Maths wizard for 2026!โŒโญ•๏ธ๐Ÿ

In Mrs Anna Fletcher's Year 6 class this term, all 31 students presented a career of their choice to the class, one at a time. ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โš•๏ธ๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿญ๐Ÿ‘ทโ€โ™€๏ธEach student educated their peers on the career role, including a typical day, required skills, challenges, and highlights. Following their presentations, the students ran a short activity related to the career (e.g. Actor - played charades, AFL Player - ran a training drill, Geologist - examined rocks). โš’The students were assessed on their presentation and public speaking skills. ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ’ปCongratulations to all the students for their hard work and ambitious future intentions. ๐Ÿคฉ Here is a list of the diverse careers presented: Actor, AFL Player, Basketballer, Chef, Commando, Fashion Designer, Firefighter, Flight Attendant, Game Designer, Geologist, Marine Biologist, Mechanic, Mechanical Engineer, Occupational Therapist, Photographer, Police Officer, Quality Assurance Tester, Rally Driver, Real Estate Agent, Robotics Engineer, Support Worker, and Zookeeper.

Earlier this term we thanked our incredible P&C with an afternoon tea, but this video, featuring students from across the college, says it even better. โค๏ธ

From running our canteen and uniform shop to organising the Colour Run, discos, stalls, carnival support and so much more, our P&C gives countless hours to our college. ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ‘•๐ŸŽˆ Their fundraising and support also provide additional resources and opportunities that directly benefit our students. ๐ŸŒŸ

To every member of our P&C... thank you. Your generosity, time and care make a real difference to our students, staff and families. ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿซถ

As we look back on another fantastic term, here's one of the highlights... our Colour Run!

From Pre-Primary through to Year 10, students joined in an afternoon of colour, bubbles, laughter and just the right amount of organised chaos ๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿซง

The day finished with our top fundraisers earning the chance to cream and slime a few very brave staff volunteers, and they certainly made the most of it!

A huge thank you to our incredible P&C, Mrs Burke, our student leaders and the many parent and community volunteers who made the day possible. We'd also like to thank ๐—ง๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ธ๐˜€ ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฟ ๐—›๐—ถ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ for their generous donation of water, which helped spread the colour, the fun and, of course, the mess! ๐Ÿ’ฆ
