Proud Moments at the JACC Inter-School Cross Country Carnival 👏🥳

On Wednesday, 27 May 2026, Dale Primary School made an exciting debut at the Junior ACC Cross Country Carnival at Alderbury Reserve. Competing against 23 schools in a highly competitive field, each race featured up to 138 runners.
Our athletes were thrilled by the fantastic course, which was supported by 26 marshals and featured a spectacular finish-line arch. A major highlight for the students was wearing professional race bibs equipped with timing chips to track their exact finish times.

We are incredibly proud of all our runners for their outstanding behaviour and stellar effort. Special congratulations go to our top-10 finishers:
• Summerlily (Y4) – 7th place
• Celestine (Y6) – 9th place
• Ehmupoh (Y6) – 10th place

A huge thank you to Mr Hall and Mr Bowman for volunteering as marshals, to the dedicated Dale staff, and to our secondary school helpers—Olivia, Maia, Caitlyn, and Daniel—who generously gave up their study time to support our team.

🌟 Year 10 Parents Information Night 🌟

What a fantastic evening! It was wonderful to see so many parents and carers attend our Year 10 Information Night.

The session provided valuable insights into the range of pathways available for students as they move into Years 11 and 12.

Guests enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere with tea, coffee, and delicious food while connecting with staff and gaining important information to support their child’s future journey.

It was an absolute pleasure to spend time last week with Lynne Nixon, Christian Schools Australia - Executive Officer WA. The College Executive Team had the opportunity to share Dale CC with Lynne and to hear from Lynne about the work at CSA WA. It was inspiring to connect and to share visions of growth and excellence across Christian education in Western Australia.

In Week 3, the Secondary School celebrated HASS Week, enjoying activities related to the four Humanities and Social Sciences topics: History, Civics and Citizenship, Economics and Geography. Form classes participated in a quiz, with fair trade chocolate awarded to the winners, and students enjoyed making fairy bread in the design of various world flags. We decorated the classrooms with inspirational quotes from historical figures and held a dance party featuring dances throughout the decades. The HASS course aims to develop wonder, curiosity and respect for places, people, cultures and ideas in students and it was great to celebrate this through fun, hands on activities.

📚 **Book Fair is Coming!** 📚

Join us for our upcoming Book Fair on **12th, 13th, 14th and 19th May** in the **Multipurpose Room (formerly the Performing Arts Room)**.

🕗 **Before school:** 8:00am until classes start
🕓 **After school:** until 4:00pm
🍎 **Lunchtime:** Students can browse and *reserve* books for parents to purchase after school

There will also be **prize giveaways** for those who make a purchase — an extra bit of excitement! 🎉

Our Year 4 students had an exciting and educational experience during our reptile incursion! Students were introduced to a variety of fascinating animals, including snakes, lizards, frogs and bugs. They learnt about their diets, habitats, and unique physical features, with many questions being asked. The highlight for many was the hands-on opportunity to safely hold some of the animals, which sparked curiosity and enthusiasm across the group! Students enjoyed the fun and engaging experience that brought classroom learning to life and left them eager to learn more!
