Today, children in Classroom 6 participated in an engaging art experience where they used paint brushes and paint to write the first letter of their names. This hands-on activity encouraged creativity and self-expression while supporting early literacy skills such as letter recognition and name awareness. It also promoted fine motor development as children practiced their brush control, hand-eye coordination, and grip strength.

We’re excited to invite our families to a Kindy Information Session on 21 April from 4:00–4:30 pm.
We’ll be sharing an overview of our Kindy program and how we support school readiness and motor planning through everyday activities. There’ll also be some fun, hands-on exercises for you and your child to enjoy together, helping build muscle tone, dexterity and the foundations for learning.
Please bring a gym mat for both you and your child to sit on.
We’d love to see you there.

Easter is just around the corner and the excitement is building in Classroom 2!
Our educators have set up a fun and engaging provocation table featuring bunny and chicken finger puppets, Easter eggs, and the story 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar's Peekaboo Easter'.
The children have been busy exploring the space. They pop puppets onto their fingers, arrange them in the tray, and share their ideas with friends. This playful experience helps strengthen fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination while encouraging imagination and creativity. It also provides a lovely opportunity for children to learn about Easter traditions and explore cultural diversity in a meaningful and hands-on way.
We love seeing the children so engaged and excited in their learning!

Hello families,
We will continue our pop-up learning session at Riverton Forum on Tuesday. This week, our topic is “All About Airplanes.” Children will explore interesting facts about airplanes, including how airplane wings work.
We will read a variety of airplane-themed books and provide hands-on opportunities for children to create their own airplanes using recycled cardboard materials. In addition, we will set up engaging activities to help children practise and develop their gross motor skills.
You are warmly welcome to join us and have fun together! We look forward to seeing you there.

Today, children in Classroom 5 had a super special and hands-on learning experience. We made new paper from used paper!
We started by explaining the process: ripping old paper into small pieces, blending it into a smooth pulp, and mixing it with corn flour in water. Then the children had a go themselves, taking turns to mix the pulp and press it into the deckle.
It was such a fun way for our children to explore with their senses, including touching, listening, and watching the process come to life. They also learnt an important lesson about sustainability, recycling, and how small actions can help save our planet.

Today we had a fantastic learning session at Riverton Forum Shopping Centre!
We set up a range of fun physical activities to help children explore body awareness, including crawling, balancing and building coordination skills. It was great to see the kids getting involved, giving things a go and having so much fun along the way. We also had some lovely chats with families about how to support children’s gross motor development, encourage safe exploration of spaces, and build confidence in their movements at home.
So nice to see everyone engaged and enjoying the experience. Thanks to all the families who joined us today. We look forward to meeting you again next Tuesday.

Today we revisited last week’s learning about wheels. We had a great discussion about things that have wheels and what shape wheels should be. The children shared lots of creative ideas, including trains, cars, race cars and even planes.
They then had the opportunity to draw these objects, expressing their ideas through their artwork. This activity helped the children practise their fine motor skills and develop their early pre-writing skills while having fun being creative.

All About Nature
This week we were at the Riverton Forum sharing our philosophy of learning.
Our provocations captured the interest of not only the children, but the adults too. Magdalene had some really interesting conversations with families and educators about ways we can stimulate children’s curiosity and help reduce the time they spend on devices.
One of the most special moments was seeing families stop at our pop-up experience to read together. Watching parents and children share a story side by side was a beautiful reminder of how powerful the love of literacy can be when it’s nurtured and shared.
