Many primary schools do not allow students to carry nuts in their lunchbox, or even peanut butter sandwiches! 🥜 But did you know there’s other, less common foods children can be allergic to?
In an emergency situation, would you know how to respond quickly to different food allergy reactions?
If not, don’t stress. We’ve prepared a no‑stress teacher guide to managing food allergies at school: https://aits.edu.au/help-ive-got-a-student-with-a-food-allergy-what-do-i-do/

An Emergency Response Plan exists to inform and guide employees on how to deal with emergencies and incidents, including medical emergencies.
Having this plan can help you save lives and minimise risk, but it can also serve to protect your workplace from potential liabilities.
In our latest blog, we break down the role First Aid and CPR training plays in creating your Emergency Response Plan, including assessments that need to be conducted, who to appoint on your emergency response team, and what information should be included in your emergency response procedure.

📍 NEW VENUE: Training at the
Due to renovations at our usual venue, our training is temporarily taking place at the Victoria Park Community Centre (unless explicitly communicated otherwise).
We’re loving the spacious training area, and so are our students who recently completed their CPR training (see pictured).
If you’ve booked in with us over the next few weeks, look for Room 2 at the Victoria Park Community Centre (not the Leisureplex venue, but the one next to it – look for the First Aid sign out the front).
If you need any help finding us, give us a ring on 📞 1300 266 408.

Learning is at the forefront of everything we do at the Australian Institute of Training Solutions. Learning new skills, professional development and learning together.
As an Australian organisation, we value what this country means to so many people who call it home. It would be completely dismissive of us not to acknowledge the weight and significance of this date for many who feel that it is not a date to celebrate.
It would also be dismissive not to acknowledge the point of pride that people who have migrated here feel, who have sacrificed a lot, miss their homes and loved ones and worked towards achieving a better life for themselves and their families.
Changing the date may not be on the cards—at least for this year—but learning from other people’s stories and truths, learning about our history as a country, developing a broader perspective and respect for one another should ALWAYS be on the cards.
Whether through open conversation, personal reflection or exploring our shared history, January 26th is an opportunity to deepen our understanding.
At AITS, we’re taking time to reflect, learn and engage with our communities in meaningful ways.
🔔 Office Closure Reminder 🔔
Our office will be closed on Monday 26 and will reopen the following day (Tuesday 27).
Our team will respond to enquiries when we return.
