Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials! I am so pleased you’ve come to my page. Your wedding day will be one of the most significant moments in your life and the sheer fact that you’re allowing me to take up some of your time to get to know a little about me is so, so special. So thank you, and let me give you a little bit of an insight into who is Tina!
I love, love. My greatest love is my family. My parents and sister are three of the most inspiring, talented, selfless and outright cool people I have ever met. My parents are musicians, and I grew up being taken to weddings all over Perth every weekend to watch them perform at ceremonies. To this day they are some of my greatest childhood memories, and I’m fairly sure their influence was one of my greatest motivators to become a Celebrant. Here is a picture of us in Jurien Bay, just before our latest adventure - a family skydive (see, we really ARE cool)!
Another great love? This incredible life and the world around us! I have been very fortunate to do some incredible travelling and when I find myself in a new place, it always gives me great perspective on the important things in life and gets me right in the feels - every. single. time.
Here’s me in 2016 at the Taj Mahal in India. Of course, this went straight on to Instagram, and damn I sure knew how to caption it;
“The Taj Mahal… a massive bucket list item of mine finally checked! Although this just isn’t a touristy snap for me. This monument, a wonder of the world, shares a magnificent story of love. Two people from the course of history who set an example for people living in the future about love. True love. And what it means. I love, love! And I sit here feeling so in love with the world around me. I feel eternally fortunate and blessed to be able to see places with the richest of histories teaching us such great lessons about what is truly important in life…”
So how did I find myself becoming a Celebrant you ask? To be honest, I’ve talked about it since I was maybe 13 or 14 years old. My passion in science and all things medical has seen me study and work in the health industry for the last eight years. If I have learnt one lesson from being in the back of an ambulance or in a hospital ward, it’s that at the end of it all – we’re only left with love. I’m incredibly passionate about celebrating your relationship, in your way, so that you remember it forever. They say that you should surround yourself with things that make you happy, and doing this gives me the warm fuzzies in droves!
