Our school community is built on generosity, connection and shared purpose, and today we would like to acknowledge two truly remarkable members of that community.
Sonja and Kate have, between them, volunteered an incredible 26 years at North Cottesloe Primary School, coincidentally the same age as Miss Forder π. Across those years, they have given their time, energy and care so generously, always with a smile and always with the needs of our students at heart.
Schools simply do not thrive without parents like Sonja and Kate. Their quiet commitment behind the scenes helps make the events, opportunities and everyday moments that matter so much to our children actually happen. We are deeply grateful for their tireless contribution and the positive impact they have had on our school over many years.
Thank you, Sonja and Kate, for everything you have given to NCPS. Our community is stronger because of you.

β¨ The Elves Are BACK β¨
Our classroom elves have officially arrived, and letβs be honest, theyβve wasted no time stirring up drama and acting like they run the place. From perching in suspicious locations to silently side-eyeing anyone who looks slightly off task, they are thriving.
We absolutely adore hearing about what your elves get up to at home too. Whether theyβre causing chaos, making questionable life choices, or generally behaving like tiny festive rascal. Please keep the stories coming. It brightens our day and reassures us that itβs not just our elves causing trouble. ππ
Hereβs to a month of sparkle, laughter, and elves with far too much attitude.

International Day of People with Disabilities
Today a small group of our students had the privilege of attending the Town of Cottesloe International Day of People with Disabilities event. We are incredibly fortunate to have opportunities like this in our community, where inclusion, understanding and respect are placed front and centre.
The event highlighted the importance of talking openly about disability so we can continue to:
βοΈ Value and respect people with disability
βοΈ Reduce stigma
βοΈ Build a more inclusive society for everyone
Students enjoyed inclusive tennis, all abilities football, accessible lawn games and sensory activities.
We were reminded that disability can be visible or invisible, temporary or permanent, and that the real barriers people face often come from systems, attitudes and environments, not from the disability itself. Creating inclusive communities means listening, learning and ensuring every person is treated with dignity.
A huge thank you to the Town of Cottesloe and all involved for hosting such a thoughtful and engaging event. Our students returned inspired, informed and proud to be part of a community that champions inclusion for all.
Together, we can build a society where everyone belongs. ππ
