UWA Junior Caliphs

The UWA Junior Caliphs Madrasa is open for registration for children between 5-13 years old! 🏫

The Madrasah runs on Saturdays 10:30-12:30 at UWA's Musallah and includes 2 classes; a Qur'an/Arabic class in the morning and an Islamic studies class in the afternoon! ✍️

The fees are $50 for registration paid once and $50 term fee per child. This fee is to cover the cost of venue hire and for all the materials we provide the children with, including scrapbooks, stationary and gifts. Home cooked food (arranged by parents) is served in the break between the two classes by our dedicated volunteers! 💗

A Muslim family conference aimed at empowering high school students and their parents to shape the future leaders of our Muslim community.

Through insightful lectures, interactive workshops, and engaging discussions, we’ll explore the essential skills and values needed to develop confident, ethical leaders grounded in Islamic teachings.🕯️💎

Here's some of what to expect at the conference:
- Seperate sessions for parents and and students to explore themes of concern the upcoming generation of Muslims.
- Opportunity for parents and students to ask questions about topics of concern.
- Parents will learn the best ways to communicate the answers to their children.

Morning tea, lunch, and evening tea are included in the ticket price.

‼️ Volunteering opportunity ‼️

Assalamu alaykum!

This is an exciting opportunity to give back to the community by volunteering as a Madrasah teacher! 🧑🏼‍🏫

We are seeking dedicated volunteers who are able to give 2 hours of their time on Saturday morning to teach Qur'an and Islamic studies at the UWA Junior Caliphs Madrasah! 🌙

A new addition to our library!

We finally received the books from the US and they are in our library ready for the kids to burrow and enjoy! 📚😁

We look forward to read all these interesting stories with Muslim characters! 🤍

We had a special guest at the Madrasah this week, Lori the Lorikeet! 🦜

The children enjoyed spending time with the bird and feeding it fresh grapes and peaches from the healthy food that our kitchen volunteers prepare every week! 💛

Prophet Mohammed (peace be upon him) taught us that Allah rewards us for taking care of animals, so may Allah accept this from us and from the children! 🤲
