Hi folks we had a bit of a detour to try to get Amr back to Egypt but thankfully he's on a flight now! In the meantime a quick follow-up, we will be getting info out to AUSET class participants next week, including some of the teacher's notes plus Kazafy's music track details and a short clip of the final demo in each class to refresh your memories. Once again a big thank you from all of us. 🙏

AUSET festival 20-22 Feb, for lovers of authentic Egyptian dancing and drumming. Explore the true heart, origin and source of Egyptian culture and it's deeply-rooted artistry! This is the powerful backbone of most bellydance styles that have evolved around the world, from traditional to classical to fusion. Dear Australian bellydance and drumming enthusiasts.... on the weekend of the 20-22 Feb, at AUSET we have one of the most powerful, authentic and intensive series of true Egyptian dance and drum workshops ever seen in Perth, WA!

DRUMMERS, Amr Abou Zeid, master Sufi percussionist and leader of Egypt's National Heritage troupe which plays to packed-out audiences every week at El Azhar in the heart of Cairo, is conducting daily workshops and playing at several dance classes. He and Sam will also be presenting several amazing "drum throw-downs" to dance to at the Sat night concert at Morley Rec.

DANCERS, if you've never studied with Egypt's master Reda troupe choreographer, Mohumed Kazafy - do it! Under life-long tutelage of the late Mahmoud Reda and currently, Farida Fahmy, he has developed the Reda styling, blending it with his own mastery of modern theatre dance. The last time he was in Australia was 10 years ago, he has since further developed and flourished as both teacher and artist with troupes around the globe. The Kazafy master-class package is excellent value. There are also many other teachers bringing you the best of beautiful Egyptian dance arts and also tribal fusion.
