🌟 Education Assistant Appreciation Week 🌟

This week, we celebrate and thank our incredible Education Assistants for the outstanding work they do every day.

Our EAs play a vital role in supporting the learning, wellbeing, and success of our students. Whether they are providing encouragement, building confidence, supporting individual learning needs, or helping students navigate challenges, their care, patience, and dedication make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students.

We appreciate them and the difference they make every day.

On Thursday, 10 September, Woodvale Primary School will be recognising R U OK? Day and the important message that a simple conversation can make a difference.

Students are invited to wear yellow to show their support and help raise awareness of the importance of checking in on friends, family and members of our community.

R U OK? Day encourages us all to trust our instincts, start a conversation, listen with care and remind others that they are not alone.

📚✨ WOW – what an AMAZING Book Week Parade! ✨📚

Our students absolutely blew us away with their creativity and enthusiasm today! From much-loved book characters to some incredibly clever costumes, it was fantastic to see our school come alive with the magic of reading. 🌟📖

A huge thank you to all of our families for the time and effort that went into creating such wonderful costumes, and to our staff for getting into the Book Week spirit too!

What a fantastic celebration of books, imagination and reading! 💙📚

🌙✨ PJ Day at Woodvale Primary School! ✨🌙

Our Year 6 Student Councillors are excited to be organising and leading a PJ Day to raise funds for the Starlight Children's Foundation.

📅 Wednesday 2 September
🪙 Gold Coin Donation
💜 All proceeds will support the Starlight Children's Foundation and the incredible work they do to brighten the lives of seriously ill children.

Students are invited to come to school in their favourite pyjamas and help us support this worthy cause!

☀️ Please remember that clothing must still be SunSmart.
👟 For safety, students must also wear appropriate closed-in footwear. Slippers, UGG boots, thongs and other open footwear are not suitable for school.

We look forward to seeing everyone in their cosy PJ's while supporting a fantastic cause!

💙 Father's Day Stall 💙

Looking for the perfect gift for Dad, Pop, Grandad, Uncle or another special father figure in your child's life? Our Father's Day Stall has you covered.

🎁 When: Monday 31 August & Tuesday 1 September (during class time)

💰 Cost: All gifts are $5 each

🎁 Limit: Initial limit of 2 gifts per child, with the opportunity to purchase additional gifts after the last session on Tuesday (subject to availability).

Our wonderful P&C has sourced a fantastic range of gifts, giving students the opportunity to choose something special for the important men in their lives.
A huge thank you to our P&C volunteers for organising this event and helping make Father's Day extra special for our families.

We are looking forward to celebrating Book Week 2026 – Symphony of Stories with our annual Book Week Parade this Friday!

🎤✨ One Big Voice 2026 ✨🎤

What an incredible experience for our Woodvale Primary School students at One Big Voice 2026!

Our students represented our school with pride, enthusiasm and determination as they joined thousands of students from across Western Australia in a spectacular celebration of music and performance.

A huge congratulations to all of our students for their commitment throughout rehearsals and for performing so confidently on the day. It was wonderful to see their hard work, teamwork and love of singing shine on stage.

A special thank you to our incredible Music Teacher, Ms Speelman, for her dedication, passion and countless hours of preparation in supporting our students throughout their One Big Voice journey.

And a big thankyou to families for your support in helping make this opportunity possible.

🏆🌟 WOODVALE PRIMARY SCHOOL ATHLETICS CARNIVAL 2026 🌟🏆

What an absolutely fantastic day we had for our 2026 Woodvale Primary School Athletics Carnival! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

It was wonderful to see our students from Pre-Primary to Year 6 getting involved, giving every event their best effort and showing amazing sportsmanship throughout the day. From the sprints and relays to the novelty races and team games, there was plenty of excitement, cheering and faction spirit across the oval! ❤️💙💚💛

A huge congratulations to all of our students who participated. Whether you won a ribbon, earned points for your faction, achieved a personal best or simply had a go, you should be incredibly proud of your efforts! 👏

🥁🥁🥁 And our 2026 Athletics Carnival Champions are… MARRI! 🏆🎉

Congratulations to Marri on an outstanding carnival and a very well-deserved win! The energy, encouragement and faction spirit shown throughout the day was fantastic. 💪

A massive thank you to all of our wonderful staff, parent helpers, P&C and families who helped make the day possible. From setting up and running events to cheering from the sidelines, your support helped make the carnival such a memorable day for our students.

Most importantly, thank you to all of our students for making the carnival such a positive and enjoyable day. We are so proud of the way you competed, supported your teammates and represented Woodvale! 🌟
