πŸ’§ Water Wise Learning at Woodvale PS! πŸ’§

Our Year 6 and Year 1 students recently took part in an engaging incursion presented by the Water Corporation. Through a range of interactive activities, students explored where our water comes from, how it is treated, and the important role we all play in conserving this precious resource.

The sessions provided valuable, hands-on learning experiences that connected directly to the Science curriculum. Year 6 students deepened their understanding of the water cycle, water management, and sustainability practices, while our Year 1 students discovered where water comes from and why it’s important to use it wisely.

Students thoroughly enjoyed the demonstrations and activities, making this a fantastic opportunity to link classroom learning with real-world applications. πŸŒπŸ’¦

✨ Year 5 Star Gazing Incursion ✨

What an amazing evening our Year 5 students had at their Star Gazing Incursion! πŸŒŸπŸ”

Students were given the incredible opportunity to explore the wonders of space through high-tech telescopes and interactive astronomy activities right here at Woodvale Primary School. From observing celestial bodies to learning more about our solar system and beyond, the excitement and curiosity throughout the night was truly wonderful to see.

This hands-on experience linked directly to the Year 5 Earth and Space Sciences curriculum and gave students a chance to deepen their understanding of the universe in a fun, engaging, and memorable way. 🌍πŸͺβœ¨

A huge thank you to Mrs Scott for organising such a fantastic educational experience, and to all staff and families for supporting the event. The students represented Woodvale Primary School beautifully and embraced every opportunity to learn and explore.

We look forward to seeing where their curiosity for science and space takes them next! πŸš€
