Professional Development Seminar🏆 | 31 March 2026

A fantastic afternoon connecting future educators with valuable insights from across the education sector. We were thrilled to host a full room of pre-service teachers, all eager to learn more about career pathways in education.

Our speakers shared their experiences and opportunities within the field, including:

• Rebecca Wilkey (Department of Education WA)-Teach in WA Public Schools
• Jeckma & Damon-Elucidate Education
• Jeffrey (TSOC President) & Sandy (TSOC OCM):Becoming an Education Assistant
• Jeffrey (TSOC President)-Teach Learn Grow (TLG)
• Duncan (TSOC Secretary): Casual tutoring opportunities

A special thank you to Dr Jennifer Shand (UWA Graduate School of Education) for her support in helping make this event possible and for connecting us with Rebecca Wilkey from the Department of Education.

🍀This seminar marked the final event delivered by the 2025 TSOC committee, and we are proud to close this chapter by supporting future teachers with meaningful professional development opportunities.🍀

Our PD Seminar will be postponed to a new date around the end of March.

We’ve made this decision so we can bring in even more industry professionals to add extra value to the event, and to better align with teaching course timetables so more of you can attend without clashes.

We’ll announce the new date as soon as everything is confirmed.
