I say this all the time but - how incredible is nature. We found this beautiful piece of wood washed up from the sea. Covered in tiny holes. Our imaginations took us to well where is the log from? Viking ship? Pirate ship? And how did those holes form? So much fun for the imagination 💭

Yesterday we had fun with some nature play. We built a huge tee p*e out of bamboo and leaves🌿

Was exactly what we both needed - time in nature, fresh air and presence.

For 2 months we’ve been working on this collaboration piece by Mr 4 and I.

I’ve been adding some shading and texture to his beautiful expressive brush strokes.

He’s already titled it - ‘Light and Dark’

Do you collaborate and paint with your little one?
It’s a beautiful way to fully surrender and let go of any expectations.

And special too something we will treasure and hang in our home ☺️

We’ve had so much fun with the self drying clay. From finding objects to press into them, waiting for them to set which was a nice little lesson with regards to patience.

Then playing with colour and layering the colours to show the patterns underneath 🎨

Who loves a self portrait? As a child it was one of my favourite things to draw. Staring at your reflection and drawing away.
It’s interesting what we see or don’t see and I love the process of exploring the face and page.
