🏝️ The Daffodil Room extended their learning about animals and the ocean through a fun sensory tough tray!
The children explored different textures and discovered the exciting reactions of vinegar and bicarbonate of soda. 🫧✨
This experience supported sensory exploration, curiosity, communication, fine motor skills, problem-solving and understanding of cause and effect.

🌈 Colour Mixing in the Daffodil Room! 🌈

Our Daffodil children have been showing a growing interest in colours and colour mixing.
Last week the Daffodil children extended their knowledge of colours through a fun and hands-on colour mixing experience! 🌈
We explored what happens when colours come together, made predictions and discovered new colours along the way. ✨
A simple experience filled with curiosity, creativity and learning! 💛

🎨Painting in the Poppy Room! 🎨

Last week, our little artists got creative as we explored the wonderful world of textures, paints and colours! 🖌️

The children experimented with different painting techniques, discovering how coloured paints look, feel and move. We explored different textures, made marks using our hands and painting tools, and watched with curiosity as colours mixed and changed. 🌈

🌱 EYLF Learning Outcomes:
✨ Outcome 1 – Children have a strong sense of identity: Children confidently expressed themselves through creative exploration.
🌈 Outcome 3 – Children have a strong sense of wellbeing: Sensory experiences supported the children to explore, engage and enjoy hands-on learning.

🌿Nature Sensory Tray 🌿

Earlier in the week our tulip children explored a nature sensory tray, filled with beautiful sights and wonderful smells! 🌿🍃🌸

The children loved discovering different natural treasures while using their senses to investigate the world around them. They listened to the sounds of rustling leaves explored the textures of natural materials, and enjoyed the fresh scents of flowers and nature.

Sensory play encourages curiosity, language development, mindfulness, and a deeper appreciation for the natural environment - all while having fun!
