Winter is the best time to start your on-line learning and mapping project to enter your pathway to become a professional in the dive industry.

When you complete the online learning, we move towards the skills circuit in a heated pool.

As soon as the weather warms up Scuba Obsession will get you involved in the practical component of the certification – the fun part of hands-on training and helping people to learn to scuba dive.

Course Entry Requirements:
Open Water
Advanced Open Water
Rescue Diver
Current First Aid and CPR

Don’t worry if you don’t have the course requirement, we can map you out a pathway to achieve what is required in combination to the Divemaster program.

You will have access to not only a Master Instructor and a Staff Instructor, you will also have access to a private chat group to discuss anything on the course or just gain further support with the dozens of Divemasters we have trained.

Scuba Obsession use several Divemasters over the dive season, from working on our dive boat to running club dives, guiding other divers and taking refreshers, all paid work.

Imagine diving at Rottnest during the week and on weekends and getting paid for it !!!

The course is $ 995.00, however just $200 deposit is required to issue you the online component with the balance to be paid off prior to completing of the course

Don’t doubt yourself…. You just need to show up and we will do the rest.

Who is ready to move to the next level with an Equipment Specialist Course

We will teach you how to easily recognise potential problems with your equipment and make adjustments in the field to save your dive.

✅ Explain the importance of maintaining dive equipment.

✅ Develop a strong grasp of dive equipment terminology, jargon, acronyms, and abbreviations.
Identify the hazards associated with working with compressed gases.

✅ List and describe the functions of common diving equipment components.

✅ List and describe the functions of common consumable components.

✅ Show you how a fill station and air banks operate

✅ Show how Nitrox is made

This is a certification course that will also contribute towards a Master Scuba Diver level.

It was difficult to ascertain whether the water or air temperature was lower during this morning's club dive.

However, the group's usual characteristic friendliness and warmth were apparent.

We are striving to prolong the club dives for the season, as the social aspect is equally enjoyable as the dives themselves.
