Another successful HBF Run for a Reason in the books πŸƒ

LGC Traffic Management was proud to once again provide traffic management support on behalf of Downer, marking our 5th year supporting the event.

This year included 64 Traffic Controllers, 13 TMA Operators, 42 Light Vehicles, 9 TMA’s and 2 Cone Trucks deployed across the event to support road closures, traffic movements and the safe delivery on one of WA’s biggest community events.

A fantastic effort from our operations team and crews on the ground who worked behind the scenes and on the weekend to help make the event possible.

We’d also like to thank Downer for the continued opportunity to support the delivery of this event each year.

As part of National Road Safety Week, today’s focus is on regional roads.

With depots in Midvale, Mandurah, Albany and Bunbury, and crews regularly working across regional WA, our teams are often operating in high-speed environments where conditions can change quickly. Longer distances, varying road conditions and limited visibility all increase the risks.

Extra care makes a real difference. Slow down, stay alert and follow signage, especially when approaching worksites.

Let’s all do our part to keep regional roads safe.

We’re proud to be providing traffic management support for this year’s HBF Run for a Reason, on behalf of Downer, for the 5th year running.

A big thank you to Downer for once again trusting LGC Traffic Management to support the delivery of this major community event.

Please be aware of road closures and changed traffic conditions around the event area this weekend. We encourage all road users to plan ahead and follow signage and directions from our crews on the ground.

Good luck to everyone participating this weekend!

This week marks National Road Safety Week and serves as a reminder of the role we all play on the road.

So far this year, there have been 83 fatalities on WA roads.

For our teams working on the road every day, this isn’t just a statistic. It’s the reality of the environments they work in, where conditions can change quickly and the actions of drivers matter.

Our Traffic Controllers and crews are out on the roads every day and just metres from live traffic, relying on drivers to do the right thing.

Drive so everyone gets home safely.

Purpose-built, site-ready and reliable.

To support remote and regional works, our fleet includes a number of fully equipped vehicles that meet mine specifications.

This ensures our teams can operate safely and compliantly across mining, civil and infrastructure projects throughout Western Australia.

Congratulations to Izak, one of our Midvale Traffic Controllers, on recently achieving his TMA Operator Accreditation.

Great to see the initiative to upskill and keep progressing within his role at LGC Traffic Management.

Have you seen these bright yellow cameras on the road and wondered what they are? πŸ‘€

They’re doing more than you think:
βœ… Before works start: collecting traffic data to plan safer, more efficient job sites
βœ… During live roadworks: acting as a real-time safety system, detecting vehicles and alerting crews to potential danger

In March, our team responded to an average of 75 emergency callouts per week, supporting clients across WA from bushfires and traffic incidents to critical utility issues.

With emergency works happening at all hours of the day, our Traffic Controllers, Operations team and depot crews are always ready, acting quickly to keep the community safe and traffic flowing.

A big thank you to everyone involved for your responsiveness, professionalism and commitment. Your work makes a real difference on the ground, especially when it matters most.

While many are enjoying a well-earned break this Easter, our crews will be out on the roads doing what they do best - keeping roads safe and moving over the long weekend.

If you’re travelling:
⚠️ Slow down in work zones
⚠️ Stay alert
⚠️ Follow signage

Take care on the roads this long weekend, so everyone can get home safe.
