Let me take you back to Jan 2017... here I am in the locker room with a 1000 things on my mind, getting changed and prepared for work. As I rifle through my bag for my pens and scissors my thoughts are with someone special who passed away, a guy meddling with the heart and other life stresses. I find my badge, tie up my shoes reminding myself that the past few days have been rough but that's ok. I tie up my hair and know that I'm ready. Throw my bag in the locker, along with my heart, feelings, worries and life concerns. Lock the locker knowing that all of this must stay locked in the locker.

I'm a nurse and the next 10 hours must have my mind wholeheartedly on all the patients around me. Focused on each individual moment with each patient, ensuring they receive the care they deserve. So I look at myself in the mirror and know that as I leave the locker room everything is great. And that my friends is the power of scrubs 👩🏻‍⚕️
