At Tall Tree Leederville, we’re working towards becoming accredited as a Child Safe Organisation, empowering our children to celebrate and navigate their own agency. This month, we’ve been exploring the ‘Little Big Chats’ series, collaborating with parents to create fun, open-ended activities inspired by each book. April’s book, ‘Consent’, has sparked meaningful conversations in our Kindy room. Our children have been discovering their own personal bubble, using a variety of resources to design their unique space. Educators are supporting this journey by using language that encourages agency and respect, helping our little learners understand the importance of consent and personal boundaries. Together with our families, we’re building a safe, supportive environment where every child’s voice is valued.

In celebration of Earth Day, our kindy children took a hands-on approach to caring for Country within our centre. 🌏💚 Together, they carried out a sustainability audit—checking our recycling bins, monitoring lights, and reviewing water usage. It’s inspiring to see our little learners leading the way in making positive changes for our environment! Every small action counts when it comes to building a greener future. Well done, Kindy! 🌱✨

Happy Feet is back and it’s quickly become a favourite with our children—so much so that we often hear, “Is it a Miss Molly day today?” 🎶✨ Today’s session was all about exploring the concepts of big and little through music, movement, and a bit of fancy dress fun! We love to see the children's imagination come to life

🌿 Adventure Excursions for Nature Play Week! 🌿 To celebrate Nature Play Week, our explorers set off on a journey through Leederville, discovering the wonders of the natural world around us. From playful moments in the park to sketching our favourite landscapes, every step was filled with curiosity and creativity. We gathered leaves, sticks, twigs, flowers, and bark—transforming our finds into beautiful natural masterpieces back at the centre. These hands-on experiences spark imagination, build confidence, and connect us with the world outside. Let’s keep nurturing a love for nature, one adventure at a time! 🍃✨

Caring for Country 🌱✨ Our little learners have been busy replanting air-purifying plants in our indoor spaces! Taking turns watering the plants, helping them thrive and making them a special part of our Tall Tree family. The children chose unique names for each plant. We love watching our children connect with nature, learn responsibility, and care for their environment—one leaf at a time. 🌿💚

Inspired by one of our Kindy friends’ visit to Cottesloe Sculpture by the Sea, we brought the creativity back to Tall Tree! 🌊✨ Our children explored their imaginations by creating unique sculptures using recycled materials—perfectly tying into our ongoing Australia project. It’s amazing to see how art, sustainability, and learning about our country come together in our classroom!♻️
