I had this BZ4X AWD for 4 days this week. It is an excellent vehicle with all the creature comforts a nice ride and plenty of power. It uses more energy than a mid sized EV sedan predictably, but seems to be lineball with similar cars in this size range. The lane keeping is the best I have encountered so far, in ICE, or EV on the highway. I didn't get a chance to drive it offroad.

Regardless of your opinion on the company, with it's apparent lobbying to government and negative commentary on EVs, this EV on its own merits is worthy of consideration, if you are happy to pay the premium.

If you own a Hyundai and would like to know how to set up your Bluelink app, this video can help. Bluelink is Hyundai's cloud connected system and it works great on Ioniq 6 and Kona EVs. Other vehicles have Bluelink also and I suspect they will use the same setup procedure as here.

This video takes you through the process of adding your Hyundai to Bluelink, configuring the car in your Bluelink smartphone app and operating the app.

I have to say, what a beauty! This Ioniq 6 surprised me. The ride and noise levels are as good as any car I have been in, including a $450k Mercedes CL600. The car is very economical too. On my Forrest Hwy loop, I got an average of 15.5kWh/100km at 110km in both directions in the smooth section and 17kWh/100km on the horrid coarse bitumen. The biggest surprise was the noise suppression. Nothing keeps that road noise out completely, but the Ioniq 6 does a very fine job. The Ioniq 6 is online too, so it has an app and you can turn on the airconditioning remotely, among other things. How civilised!

It looks a lot nicer in real life than in photos too. My neighbours have been crooning over it. 😁

Had this beauty for the last couple of days. It is a lovely car to drive. The purpose of the exercise is to deep dive into the menus and get to know intimately, the features and settings. Now I can advise new owners on how to get their car suited to the way they like to drive. I have put several hundred kilometres onto it in many different configurations.
