YWAM Perth Children at Risk School

At the After School Program this week we craft based on a scripture we got during intercession, Isaiah 44:2-5 which speaks of God pouring His Spirit out on the children and children finding there identity in Him saying "I belong to the LORD."

Grateful for the price He paid and the gift of forgiveness.

Every Thursday we partner with Pathway ministry on base to run a homework club for children at a local school. The school is highly diverse and we feel we get to minister to the children of the nations every week!

Once a week we have an opportunity to go into local primary schools to mentor children. We do fun activities with the children and give them individual attention. This week one of the children had asked if we could make "Forky" from "Toy Story 4."

Trauma can greatly affect children. "It impairs the normal development of the brain and nervous system, the immune system, and the body’s stress response systems." -Waldenu.edu. However creating a safe and supportive space for children can help bring healing. Pray for these spaces to be available to children dealing with trauma and for Jesus to minister to their hearts.

Students on the CRS have an opportunity to weekly work with an after school care program that predominantly serves indigenous children and youth. For those of us on staff we continue the program year round! This past week we did a Bible Study in small groups on Psalm 91 and went swimming!

Pray for the peace of God to overcome conflict, and for freedom for children.

Let's pray for freedom in the powerful name of Jesus, and that His light will uncover all darkness.

Let's pray for these girls to know the healing and redemptive love of Jesus, and for their lives to be full in Him.

Half of the world's refugees are children, and many will spend most of their childhood away from home separated from their families.

Let's pray for provision of a safe place for these children and that they would have the support that they need. Pray that they would know His love and presence in the midst of trial.
