This week we are sharing the off-campus experiences of 3 of our Cert IV in Ag students. The off-campus is the block of time spent on a farm or station putting their knowledge into action with the supervision of our network of supporting farmers. These 3 students are supported by scholarships from .
The 3rd story is from Marshall Pereira who went to Kurrajong Park, NSW:

My time at Kurrajong Park (Paspaley Pastoral) has been an unforgettable experience. From my very first day, I was welcomed by a supportive and friendly team who took the time to guide me through every aspect of the property and help build my skills.
Kurrajong Park is unlike any place I’ve experienced before with it’s vast and diverse landscape, rich soils, rolling hills and open flats. It was inspiring to see such a large operation continue to produce high-quality livestock and crops, even through dry conditions, while maintaining excellent animal welfare.

During my placement, I gained hands-on experience across a range of tasks including mustering, feeding, yard and machinery work, and grain handling. Every day was an opportunity to learn something new and deepen my appreciation for the industry.

Some of my favourite moments were the simple ones like watching the sunsets, working and training dogs, and enjoying time with the team at after-hours BBQs. These experiences, and the connections I made, will stay with me throughout my career.

I’m incredibly grateful to Kurrajong Park for the opportunity and for making me feel part of the team. It’s a place I’ll always remember. A huge thank you also to Glencore for supporting my studies at Tocal College through their incredible scholarship program. Your support has made these opportunities possible.
