We had a visit from the SA Police Band yesterday. What a great opportunity to learn more about instrument families and the role of police in our community from these talented police officers. We all had a great time.

🎉 Exciting News! 🎉

We are thrilled to share that our amazing Wakakirri students have received a State Award and are now being considered for a National Award!

This is an incredible achievement and a huge honour for our students.

As a result of their outstanding performance, our students have been invited to perform at the Wakakirri Awards Night, where they will discover whether they have received a nomination for a National Story-Dance Award.

We are incredibly proud of their hard work and dedication.

Reception 2027 Enrolment Now Open!

We are excited to announce that registrations for children starting Reception in 2027 are now open. If you have a younger child who will be starting school in 2027, I encourage you to get in touch with our enrolment officer. We are here to help and support our families every step of the way through the enrolment process.

Please feel free to contact our enrolment officer with any questions or to begin the registration process. We look forward to welcoming our next group of Reception students and supporting families on this exciting journey.

Congratulations to our incredible Wakakirri students who took to the stage on Wednesday night! We could not be prouder of each and every one of them.

Their hard work, commitment and dedication truly shone through on the night and we were absolutely thrilled to see our students receive the Wakakirri Spirit Award!

This award is presented to the school that best represents the Values of Wakakirri, and our students stood out not only because of their amazing performance, but because of the incredible spirit and community they brought to the experience.
The award recognises their:
✨ Enthusiasm and energy
✨ Teamwork and collaboration
✨ Commitment to embracing the Wakakirri experience
✨ Positive and supportive attitude towards one another
✨ Encouragement and support of the other schools participating
✨ Ability to celebrate and champion everyone’s efforts

Our students were also recognised with four additional awards for their outstanding performance and dedication:
Storytelling Award – Great Story
Lead Cast Award – Performance in Acting
Ensemble Award – Acting Performance
Ensemble Award – Well-Performed Rehearsal

These awards are a wonderful recognition of the incredible effort, talent, teamwork and commitment our students have shown.
Most importantly, we are so proud of the way they supported one another, embraced the experience and represented our school with such enthusiasm and positivity.

Good evening families

Today at lunch, students enjoyed making colourful necklaces and bracelets during Art Club. This initiative supports student engagement and wellbeing, helping students build their social skills in a fun and creative environment.

Just a friendly reminder that this Friday, 7 August, will be a student free day as our staff take part in professional training. We hope your children enjoy a well-deserved long weekend.

Dear Families

School photos will take place on Monday 17 August 2026. Please refer to the attached image on how to order photos and view the range of packages available. A copy of the flyer will be sent home to families today, where you can access the QR code.

Students are required to wear appropriate school uniform and be dressed in the school colours of navy and white.

Thank you for your support in ensuring students are prepared and presented neatly for School Photo Day.
