On Friday, our Foundation students celebrated 100 Days of School!
The day began with a colourful parade, students were interviewed and proudly shared everything they've loved about school over the past 100 days.

Students then enjoyed spending time with their buddies and took part in a range of fun 100-themed activities, filled with creativity, teamwork and plenty of smiles.

We are so proud of all our Foundation students. A massive thank you to our Foundation team: Mrs Fernando, Mrs White, Mrs King and Mrs Britt for all your hard work, nurturing and care. Also, a massive shout-out to our parents for 100 lunchboxes!

Last week, some of our classes got into the World Cup spirit with fun soccer-themed activities! ⚽💚💛

We hope everyone is enjoying the school holidays and cheering on their favourite teams. The Socceroos are back in action this Friday against Egypt, and we can't wait to see how they go!

Yesterday, our whole school came together to watch the Ice Bucket Challenge as part of the Grade 6 Caritas Fundraiser. It was fantastic to see our school community supporting this fun and meaningful event, with plenty of laughter, excitement and school spirit!

A huge shout out to Mrs Escalante, Mr Richardson and Mrs B for being such great sports and taking on the icy challenge! 🧊💦👏

Yesterday, our Grade 6 students had the wonderful opportunity to participate in a printmaking incursion with artist Kate Gorringe-Smith, in partnership with Cardinia Shire Council.

Through this hands-on experience, students explored how artists create artworks that communicate ideas, perspectives and meaning. Each student was given a cut-out of an animal species found within Cardinia Shire and carefully selected leaves to create unique prints on their chosen animal. Kate guided students through each step of the printmaking process, encouraging creativity and thoughtful connections to our local environment.

The artworks created by our students will become part of a future exhibition at the Cardinia Cultural Centre, giving them the exciting opportunity to contribute to a community arts project.

The exhibition, Catchment to Coast, celebrates the waterways that flow through the Cardinia Catchment, stretching from the hills around Belgrave and Emerald all the way to Western Port/Warn Marin. It highlights 12 local animal species and explores their diverse habitat and water needs, while raising awareness of how our environment has changed and the important work being done to restore and protect local ecosystems.

We are incredibly proud of our Grade 6 students and can't wait to see their creations featured in this exciting community exhibition. Thank you to Kate Gorringe-Smith and Cardinia Shire Council for providing such a meaningful and inspiring learning experience.

We look forward to visiting the exhibition and encourage our school community to come along and celebrate the creativity and environmental stewardship of our local community!

Despite the wet and miserable weather, our St Patrick’s girls showed incredible enthusiasm and resilience at the AFL 9v9 Girls Gala Day held at Toomuc Reserve on the 20th of May.

After weeks of lunchtime training and holiday practice, the team played 5 games throughout the day, winning 2 of their 3 pool matches and progressing to the semifinals. The girls demonstrated fantastic teamwork, determination and sportsmanship, supporting each other every step of the way.

A big thank you to Mrs B, Mr Richardson and Jack for their support and coaching, as well as the family and friends who came along to cheer on the team.

We are so proud of the girls’ efforts and can’t wait to see what our Year 5 players achieve next year.

As part of Catholic Education Week, our Year 6 students proudly ran fundraising stalls on Tuesday May 19th to support Caritas and help people in need.

All levels visited the stalls and used tokens to purchase a variety of items including bracelets, baked goods, stickers and pre-loved toys. One of the highlights of the day was voting for teachers to take part in an ice bucket challenge! Mrs B, Mr Richardson and Mrs Escalante, received the most nominations and will bravely take on the challenge in a few weeks.

We are incredibly proud of the teamwork, generosity and enthusiasm shown by our Year 6 students. Together, they raised an amazing $1,142.65 for Caritas.

We began celebrating Catholic Education Week last Friday with a vibrant Harmony Day celebration. Reflecting this year’s theme, “Every School is a Home of Peace,” students and staff came together to celebrate culture, diversity, and inclusion through an energetic Afro Beats incursion and wonderful cultural performances that created a strong sense of belonging across our school community

Exciting progress is underway both outdoors and indoors, with the E Block now open again!

Outside, construction continues to progress, while inside, the finishing touches are being carefully applied. We’re loving how everything is finally coming together and are excited to see what’s next!

We are honoured to receive a plaque from Masooda, representing Foundation House, acknowledging the efforts of our Student Action Team established through the Refugee Education Support Program (RESP) in 2024 and 2025. We are grateful for the ongoing partnership of Foundation House and Centre for Multicultural Youth in supporting our school community and empowering student voice, advocacy and positive action.

Today, our School Captains, Patrick and Charlotte, proudly represented St Patrick’s at the ANZAC Day Dawn Service at the Pakenham Cenotaph, where they laid a wreath in honour of those who have served and sacrificed for our country.

The ANZACs exemplified our school values of respect, cooperation, safety, trust, and resilience through their service, sacrifice, and commitment to one another. We thank all service members, past and present, for their dedication and courage.
