What’s On at OAS – Week 6!

It’s Book Week at OAS, and this year we’re celebrating “Symphony of Stories”! We’re looking forward to a fantastic week celebrating books, imagination, creativity and the joy of reading.

There’s plenty happening across the week, with our Year 10 Active Citizenship Conference, SAPSASA Girls AFL Trials, the much-anticipated Book Week Parade and Activity Day on Wednesday, before finishing the week with STEM Day on Friday!

We can’t wait to see the creative costumes come to life on Wednesday!

A Special Visit from Mandy Foot!

We were thrilled to welcome award-winning author and illustrator Mandy Foot to Orroroo Area School.

Our students loved hearing about Mandy’s journey, discovering how her wonderful characters and stories come to life, and seeing creativity in action.

A huge thank you to Lisa and our wonderful Library team for organising this uniquely amazing learning opportunity for our students. Experiences like these help bring learning to life and inspire our students.

AMAZING RACE 2026

What an awesome week it was!

A huge thank you to our students, staff and parent community for making Amazing Race 2026 such a memorable experience.

Throughout the week, our students were challenged to work as a team, step outside their comfort zones, solve problems, overcome challenges and recognise the strengths in one another. The energy, laughter, encouragement and determination shown across the week was incredible.

More than anything, Amazing Race was about connection, students supporting each other, staff creating amazing opportunities, and our families getting involved and sharing in the experience.

We are incredibly proud of the way our students embraced every challenge and gave everything a go.

Amazing Race 2026, one we won't forget!

Today we had our AOM assembly. Well done to all the award winners and to Clay for winning AOM. A special highlight that I wanted to showcase is our 5/6 Choir, today led by soloist Matilda. You should be all so proud, and I can't wait to see you in Pt Pirie.

We also had a special announcement today.....
