Today is World Autism Awareness Day 💙

Every child sees the world differently, and that is something worth celebrating.

At Kids Connect, we are lucky to work with so many amazing kids, all with their own personalities, strengths and ways of doing things. Some children may need a little extra patience, support or understanding, and that is okay.

Today is a good reminder that being inclusive does not have to be complicated. It can be as simple as being kind, listening, creating safe spaces and making sure every child feels like they belong.

Different does not mean less. Every child deserves to feel accepted, supported and valued for exactly who they are.

Our final holiday program last week brought out some (competitive) fun as we enjoyed Bowling & Arcade games together. Who do you think had the highest score? 👀🎉🔥

We started the week with another group outing @ GC Aqua Park & Broadwater Parklands! The boys had a blast challenging themselves on the inflatable obstacles & exploring the parklands 🌊🐳🏊‍♂️🏄🪂

Holidays have begun! Yesterday we were able to bring together a group of participants at Area 51 for our holiday program. Many meeting for the first time, but connecting straight away. Lots of smiles, laughs, and new friendships formed. This is what it’s all about 💙
