🌟 Spotlight Sunday 🌟
Each Sunday we shine the spotlight on one of our amazing staff members who help make Bletchington Public School such a special place.
This week, we’re shining the spotlight on one of our beautiful Kindergarten teachers, Mrs Adelaide McKenzie.
Adelaide is such a caring, thoughtful and dedicated teacher who goes above and beyond for her students every single day. Her gentle nature, kindness and genuine care for our Kindergarten students make her such a special part of our Bletchington family.
At the end of Week 8, Adelaide will be taking some very exciting time away from us as she prepares to welcome her own little bub into the world.
While we will certainly miss her around the school, we are so excited for Adelaide and this beautiful new chapter ahead.
Thank you, Adelaide, for everything you bring to our school and for the love and care you show our little learners. We wish you all the very best as you prepare to become a mum!

🔬 Celebrating Science Week at Bletchington Public School! 🧪
To celebrate Science Week, our students have been discovering the incredible range of careers and opportunities available in science through a very special interview project.
Our students have interviewed 3 inspiring people who work in science, learning about their careers, their research and the important contributions they make to our world.
Among our interviewees are:
🌱 Dr Andrew Regan, a Research Scientist with the CSIRO, working in the area of soil science.
⛏️ Jacqueline Mascini, a Geologist at Cadia Mines, who shared insights into the fascinating world of geology and mining.
💧 Dr Justin Hughes, a Principal Research Scientist with the CSIRO, working in the field of hydrology and helping us understand our precious water resources.
These interviews have provided our students with a wonderful opportunity to see that science is so much more than a subject at school - it is a pathway to an enormous range of exciting and meaningful careers.
A huge thank you to the scientists and science professionals who generously gave their time to speak with our students and inspire the next generation of scientists, researchers and problem-solvers!

🏀Building for Sport & Success!⚽️
Bletchington Public School is very excited to see the development of our brand-new Multi-Purpose Courts!
The new courts will cater for a range of sports and provide fantastic opportunities for our PSSA teams to train and compete right here at school.
Our students have also been demonstrating our PBL values of being Safe, Respectful and Responsible throughout construction by staying away from the construction zone and using alternate play areas until the courts are completed.
We can't wait to see our new courts in action!
